A RESOLUTI;N OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENCAND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND C MPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT,
TO WIT: '
CONSTRUCTI;N OF WATER IMPROVEMENTS IN WEIR
CANYON ROA , IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NO.
54-613-632 -01743-34390.
WHEREAS, p~plic convenience and necessity require the
construction and comfletion of a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit: '
Water improveme~ts in Weir Canyon Road, in the City of
Anaheim, consis ing of the construction of 36" steel
water main incl ding all connections, valving, etc. and
all apPurtenant~' work as shown on the plans and
specifically de ineated in the contract documents on
file in the off ce of the City Engineer, Account No.
54-613-6329-017 3-34390: and

WHEREAS, } City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepar · detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications, .' d estimates of quantities and costs and make
necessary surveys f the construction of said public improvement:
and
WHEREAS, jid Public Works Department has prepared said
detailed designs, pI ns, profiles, drawings and specifications for
the construction of aid public improvement and has submitted the
same to the City Co cil: and

WHEREAS, ~e City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
pUblic improvement ove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practic and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the ~ity of Anaheim and the citizens and residents
in said area for th~ purposes for which they are intended, and that
they are adequate f~r.r the construction of said public improvement
and should be approv!ed.
NOW, THER~ORE' BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim tha the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specif'cations for said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descr'bed be, and the same are hereby, approved and
adopted as prepared by said Public Works Department.

BE IT FURT~ER RESOLVED that said public imptbvement
shall be constructed! in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, dra~ings and specifications as prepar~d by'said
Public Works Departm~nt and hereby approved, and such addenda or
modifications theretp as may be approved prior to' the awarqing of
bids therefor. '

BE IT FURTF', k RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and s e is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice acc ' ding to law, inviti,ng sealed proposa1s for
the furnishing of al plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, 'including :power,
fuel and water, and Performing all work necessary to construct and
complete, in a good ~nd workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with said detailed dtSi9~S' plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications as prparedby said Public Works Departmept" the
public improvements . erein~bove mentioned and described, and
fixing the 16th day pf August, 1984, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M. as the date and, hour for the opening of said bids at the City
Council Chamber in tpe City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that
said notice shall beipublished twice, the first of which
publications shall b~ at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for t,he openin~' of bids, and that said publications shall be
at least five (5) da & apart.

BE IT FURT R RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be req ired to enter into a contract with the Cfty
of Anaheim in the ma er and form approved by the City Attorney of
the City of Anaheim or the construction, installation and
completion of said p' lic impt'ovemei1t herei'habove tpentioned' and
described, in accord ce with the plans an1.ispecificatiqns"
prepared by said Pub 'ic Works Department, the notice inviting
sealed proposals, th's resolution and all applicable City
Ordinances or Code S ctions and the laws of the State of
California, and shal be required to post bonds and insurance in
the amounts and.wi~ the time required by law, as specified in
the notice inviting ealed proposals, and in a form approved by
the City Attorney.
THE FOREG~G RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the ~ity of Anaheim this 10th day of July, 1984.
