A RESOLU!ON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIE CE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND ICOMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT:
PEDESTRIAN SIGNAL AND SAFETY LIGHTING ON
CORONADO ISTREET AT CAL COMP, IN THE CITY OF
OF ANAHE~M, ACCOUNT NO. 01-795-6325-5080,
APPROVIN THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZ NG THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEM T IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATION J ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY ICLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED P~OPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, ;public convenience and necessity require the
construction and c~mpletion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit=
Pedestrian si~a1 and safety lighting on Coronado
Street at Ca1!Comp, in the City of Anaheim, consist-
ing of the in~ta11ation of pedestrian signals and
safety 1ightijg and all appurtenant work as shown
on the plans nd delineated in the specifications
on file in th Office of the City Engineer, Account
No. 01-795-63 5-5080.

WHEREAS, said Public Works Department has prepared
said ~etailed desi~s, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions for the constiruction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same to the City Council; and

WHEREAS, "the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, prqfiles, drawings and specifications for said
pUblic improvement 1above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practid,e and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said ~ea for the purposes for which they are
intended, and that they are adequate for the construction of
said pUblic improvelment and should be approved.
NOW, THE~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specift1cations for said public improvement herein-
above mentioned an~ described be, and the same are hereby
~proved and adopteid as prepared by said Public Works
Department .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said pUblic improvement
sQall be construct~ in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, d~wings and specifications as prepared by said
Public WorksDe~ent and hereby approved, and such
addenda or modi c.. ons thereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids th~refor.
BE IT FUR~HER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and ~he is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice ack:ording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of ~l plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with saip detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications as prepared by said Public Works
Department. , the pUblic improvements hereinabove
mentioned and descr!tbed, and f'ixing the 28th day of'September ,
1978, at the hour or 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the-opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which pUblications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the Citr of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans and

specifications pr$pared by said Public Works Department ,
the notice inviti~g sealed proposals, this resolution and all
applicable City O*dinances or Code Sections and the laws of
the State of Calitornia, and shall be required to post bonds
and insurance in ~he amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals,
and in a form app~oved by the City Attorney.
THE FOR~GOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council df the City of Anaheim this 5th day of
