A RESOLUTttON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIE~E AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT:
PHILADEL1f]lIA STREJtT PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENT,
ACCOUNT ;.0. 46-792-6325-2170, AND PHILADELPHIA
STREET A , CLAUDINA STREET IMPROVEMENT, ACCOUNT
NO. 46-7 2-6325-2220, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
APPROVINq THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPEC~FICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZ~MG THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEM~MT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPEC I-
FICATIONa~ ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY .CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PflOPOSALS POR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
construction and c~mpletion ot a public improvement in the City
ot Anaheim, to wit:
Philadelphia ~treet parking lot improvement, Account
No. 46-792-63~5-2l70, and Philadelphia Street and
Claudina Stre~t improvement, Account No. 46-792-6325-
2220, in the City of Ahaheim, consisting of P.C.C.
and A.C. remoVal; excavation; construction of P.C.C.
curb, curb and gutter, driveway, sidewalk and gutter;
construction of asphalt concrete pavement; landscap-
ing; installa~ion of irrigation facilities and area
lighting; and appurtenant work in accordance with
the plans and delineated in the specifications on
file in the Office of the City Engineer.

WHEREAS, said Public Works Department has prepared
said ,detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions for the construction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, prqtiles, drawings and specifications for said
pUblic improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practioe and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements or the City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said area for the purposes for which they are
intended, and, that they are adequate for the construction of
said pUblic improvenent and should be approved.
NOW, THE~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and spp.cifications for said pUblic improvement herein-
above mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby
~proved and adopted as prepared by said Public Works
Department .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said pUblic improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, driawings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works Depar1:~ent and hereby approved, and such
addenda or modif"icalt1ions thereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FUR~HER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications as prepared by said Public Works
Department , the public improvements hereinabove
mentioned and descrillbed, and rixlng the 5th day or October ,
1978, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the-opening of said bids at the' City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which pUblications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior-to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City ot Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans and

specifications prepared by said Public Works De~Wment '
the notice 1nv1t1ng sealed proposals, this reso u on and all
applicable City O~dinances or Code Sections and the laws of
the State of California, and shall be required to post bonds
and insurance in the amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals,
and 1n a form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FORBaOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the CIty Council of the C1ty of Anaheim this 5th day of
September ,. ' 197L.
