A RESOLUT~ON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEI. FINDING. AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIE . AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND 'MPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT: :
ORANGEWOOt AVENUE STREET IMPROVEMENTS, NINTH
TO EUCLID IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NO.

APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECI ICATIONSFOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZI ,G THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEMT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATION ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY LERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED P POSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.

WHEREAS,_~blic convenience and necessity require the
Qonstruction and c~letion of a pUblic improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit::
Orangewood Ave ue street improvements, Ninth Street to
Euclid Street, in the C!ty of Anaheim, consisting of
clearing and g bbing; excavation; local borrow; A.C.
removal; const uction of P.C.C. curb, gutter, sidewalk,
access ramps a drive approach; relocation of fences,
electric outdo r light, bushes, traffic signs, mail
boxes, and irr gat ion system; construction of concrete
block retainin walls; construction of pilaster; con-
struction of a phalt concrete; placement of asphalt
prime coat; co struction of base material; placement of
asphalt binder! and pavement reinforcement fabric; re-
construction Ot' manhole; adjustment to grade of manholes
and pull boxes abandon well and remove stand pipe; de-
molition or ho es; installation or survey monuments;
installation 0 traffic signal, loops and interconnect
system; reseed: lawns; modify sprinkler system; sheeting;
shoring and br~cing; construction of R.C.P. storm drain;
construction of P.C.C. catch basins; and all appurtenant
work as shown pn the'plans and delineated in the specifi-
cations on fil~ in the Office of the City Engineer,
Account No. 13~792-6325-2l20, A.H.F.P. Project Nos. 859
and 913.
AND WHE 'AS, the City Council instructed the
Public Works Depar ment to prepare detailed designs, plans,
pro es, raw ngs an spec ications, and estimates of
quantities and cos~s and ma~e necessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said pUbliQ improvetnent; and

WHEREAS, ,said --fYblic Works Department has prepared
said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions for the cons~ruction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same ito the City Council; and
WHEREAS, ithe City Council finds that Said detailed
designs, plans, pr1tiles, drawings and specifications for said
pUblic improvement~'.,.above men.tioned' are in accordance with good
engineering practi e and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of th City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said rea for the purposes for which they are
intended, and, thatJ.they are adequate for the construction of
said pUblic improv~ment and should be approved.

or bidders shall b~ required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim inihe manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the Cit. o~ Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and conpletioo~ said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descbed, in accordance with the plans and
