THE CIT1' CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED 'ROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS t public convenience cmd necessity require the
construction and ~ompletion of a pUblic improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wi~:
Installation of traffic signals and safety lighting at
the intersec~ion of Lakeview Avenue and La Palma Avenue,
in the City qf Anaheim, and all appurtenant work in
accordance w~th the plans and delineated in the speci-
fications on file in the Office of the City Engineer,
Account No. 13-794-6325-4040.

WHEREAS, said Public Works Department has prepared
said .detailed desi$ns, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions for the cons~ruction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same to the City Council; and

WHEREAS, .. the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, pr~files, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above me~tioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practi~e and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said $rea for the purposes for which they are
intended, and, that they are adequate for the construction of
said public improvctment and should be approved.
NOW, THE$EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anahei, that th. detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specitications for said public improvement herein-
above mentioned an4 described be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopt~d as prepared by said Public Works
Department .
AND BE I~ FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructfd in acc~rdance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, d*awings and specifications as prepared by said
, and hereby approved, and such

BE IT FU~THER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and 'she is h~reby authorized and directed to
publish a notice aqcording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of 411 plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all:utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, an4 performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with sa~d detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications as prepared by said Public Works Denartment
, the public improvements hereinabove
mentioned and desc~ibed, and fixing the 2nd day of ~,
19~, at the hour qf 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and~
the opening of sai4 bids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City o~ Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior-to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.

AND BE I1 FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall b~ required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in 'the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the Ci~y of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said pUblic improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descrl1bed, in accordance with the plans and

specifications pr~pared by said Public Works Department ,
the not1ce inviti~g sealed proposals, this resolution and all
applicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and the laws of
the State of Calirornia, and shall be required to post bonds
and insurance in the amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals,
and in a form approved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this lOth day of
