RESOLUTION NO. 78R-661
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM .rPROVING. THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREE~NT WITH. THE COUNTY OF ORANGE IN
CONNECTION W~TH THE ~HORB WELL PROPERTY AND
AUTHORIZING.~D DIRE~TING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO ExttUTE SAlb AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim owns approximately 51.50
acres known as the Shcttb Well property located between the County
of Orange's Yorba & F'~therly ~egional Parks; and
WHEREAS,. th'iCounty q>f Orange is interested in acquiring
said 51.50 acres to link the two regional parks together and
provide a continuous greenbelt along the Santa Ana River; and
\<7HEREAS, the City of Anaheim is interested in selling
the 51.50 acres to the County of Orange and is willing to pay
50% of the actual cost$ of appraising the property at an estimated
cost to the City of $2000.00; and
WHEREAS, an $.greemen~ has been prepared, the terms
and conditions of whi~fu are ac~eptable to the City Council of
the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFOltE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and
conditions of said ag~eement are hereby approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTH~~ RESOLV$D that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereijt, authotized and directed to execute said
agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 10th day of
October , 1978.
