RESOLUTION NO. 78R- 630
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAH~IM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND THE LEGAL AIDE SOCIETY OF ORANGE
COUNTY RELATING TO THE OPERATION OF A PUBLIC
SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS;,. the CitlV of Anaheim desires to provide :for
a public service~mployment program for unemployed City
residents; and
WHEREAS" the Cit~ of Anaheim has received a Sub grant
from the Orange County Manpower Commission to conduct a Public
Service Employment Program under the Comprehensive Employment
and Training Act (CETA) of 1973, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the CitiY of Anaheim requires the services
of an agency with; special 'knowledge and experience in oper-at-
ing such public ~rviceentPloymenttraining program; and
WHEREAS, the Legjal Aide Society of Orange County has
mettherequirem.ents for ~erating said public service employ-
ment program andls willing to conduct such a program pursuant
to the ComprehenalveEmploymentand Training Act (CETA) of
1973, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the Leaal Aide Society of Orange County has
submitted to the '.City a farm of agreement providing for the
furnishing of sp~aialized services required to conduct said
public service employment program; and
WHEREA~, the City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit and ~ the best interests of the City to approve
the proposed agr~ement be1iween the City of Anaheim and the
Legal Aide Societ$y of Orange County, and that the same should
be approved.

NOW, TItE RE FORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of AQaheim tbatsaid agreement this day submitted
to the City Coundil to be made and entered into between the
City of Anaheim and the Lttgal Aide Society of Orange County
providing for th~furnishfng of specialized services required
to conduct said public se~viceemployment program upon the
terms and condit tons and tor the compensation set forth in said
agreement be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and thEtY are hereby, authorized to execute said
agreement for an~ on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
