RESOLUTION NO. 78R-608
A RESOLUIION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE M FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
BID RECE 'fED FOR 'tHE CONVENTION CENTER EAST
PARKING ~QT TICKEt BOOTHS BE REJECTED, THAT
SAID JOB NOT BE R~ADVERTISED AND THAT SAID
IMPROVEMS$T BE PER.FORMED BY CITY FORCES.
WHEREAS, .on the 1st day of August, 1978, Resolution No.
78R-SOO was adopted by the City Council finding and determining
that public conven~~nce and necessity required the installation
of ticket booths aU the Convention Center East Parking Lot, in
the City of AnaheiIi; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 78R-SOO did set the 31st day
of August, 1978 at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date
and hour for the opening of said bids; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer did report to the City Council
that there was one bid received for the above-mentioned public
improvement; and
WHEREAS, ~he City Engineer did report to the City Council
that said bid received greatly exceeded the budgeted amount and
did recommend that said bid be rejected; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer does hereby recommend to the
City Council that said work can be performed more economically by
City forces and that said job not be readvertised; and
WHEREAS, 11:the City Council now finds that it would be
for the benefit anct.in the best interests of the City that this
job not be readvert:ised and that said improvements be performed
more economically by City forces; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby authorize the Public
Works Department to proceed with the project on a force account
basis.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the bid received on the Convention Center
East Parking Lot Ticket Booths, Account No. 64-307-7107-9120,
be rejected; that ~~id job not be readvertised; and that said
improvements be perlformed by City forces on a force account basis.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approv d and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim hi 19 h day of September,
1978.
