OF ANAHE FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIE E AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND ,COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT:
TRAFFIC SI~NALS AND SAFETY LIGHrING AT THE INTERSECTION
OF KATELLAiAVENUE AND LEWIS STREEr, m THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM, A~COUNT NO. 13-794-6325-4060.
APPROVIN THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPEC FICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZ NG THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEM NT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATION , ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY iCLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED paOPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, ,public convenience and necessity require the
construction and c~mpletion of a pUblic improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to witj
Traffic signal~ and safety lighting installation at the
intersection of Kata1la Avenue and Lewis Street, in the City
of Anaheim, and al1iappurtenant work as shown on the plans
and delineated in t~e specifications on file in the Office
. of the City Enginee*, Account No. 13-794-6325-4060.

AND WHE~AS, the City Council instructed the

quantities and coss and make necessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said publi~ inprovement; and

WHEREAS, $aid Public Works Department has prepared
said detailed desighs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions for the const~uction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same to the City Council; and

WHEREAS, ~he City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, pr~iles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practiqa and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the! City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said ~ea for the purposes for which they are
intended, and, that ~hey are adequate for the construction of
said pUblic improv~nt and should be approved.
NOW, THE~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anahei~ that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and spp.ci~ications for said pUblic improvement herein-
above mentioned and! described be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopt~ as prepared by said Public Works
peDartment
AND BE I~ FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be construct~ in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, d~awings and specifications as prepared by said
~c Works ~~~ment and hereby approved, and such
aaainaa or mod 1c~ions thereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids tHerefor.
BE IT FU~HER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and [she is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice a~cording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of ~ll plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all lutilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, an~ performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a Igood and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with sa~d detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications as prepared by said Public Works Department
. , the pUblic improvements hereinabove
mentioned and desc~1bed, and f'ixing the 14th day of' September,
19~, at the hour qf 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the opening of saiq bids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City or Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior-to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.

AND BE I~ FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall b~ required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in!the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the Ci~y of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and desc~1bed, in accordance with the plans and

specifications prEtpared by said Public Works Department ,
the notice invitiq$ sealed proposals, this resolution and all
applicable City O~dinances or Code Sections and the laws of
the State of Cali~orniaJ and shall be required to post bonds
and insurance in ~he amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals,
and in a form app~oved by the City Attorney.
THE FOR~GOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council df the City of Anaheim this 22nd day of
August , 197~.
