A RESOLUTION'QF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF ~OO P.M. O~ THE 10TH DAY OF
AUGUST, 1978 ~OR TRAFFI4: SIGNALS AND SAFETY
LIGHTING INS ~LATION AT KATELLA AVENUE AND
LEWIS STREET~ !ACCOUNT N0. 13-794-6325-4060.
WHEREAS, her~~ofore, on the 18th day of July, 1978 the City
Council of the City Of@"'heimdi4adoPtResolutionNO.78R-462finding
and determining that p lie conve~ience and necessity requited the
construction and comp1 ion of th~ installation of traffic signals and
safety lighting at the ,:fIntersecti~n of Katel1a Avenue and Lewis Street; and

WHEREAS, the [City Council did authorize and direct the City
Clerk to publish a not~e according to law inviting sealed proposals
for the above-mentione<!pub1ic imfrovement and fixing the 10th day of
August, 1978, at the hqur of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the opening of said bi~s in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, in
the City of Anaheim; a~
WHEREAS, upo~jsaid 10th day of August, 1978, at the hour of
2:00 o'clock P.M., the ~ity Clerk and City Engineer did open the bids
so received and did redo,rt the re~u1ts thereof to the City Council at
its regular meeting heild on the 22nd day of August, 1978; and '
WHEREAS, the fCtty Council finds that the bids received are in
excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost of said public
improvement and are no~ ;represent~tive of actual construction costs;
that said bids should bM rejected~ and that said job should be readvertised
at a later date.
NOW, THEREFO., BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the bi4s received up to the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M.
on August 10, 1978, re~iewed by the City Engineer, and submitted to the
City Council on August 1~2, 1978 for the installation of traffic signals
