RESOLUTION NO. 78R- 520
A RESO~UTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANA~IM REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO
INCLUD~ ADDITIONAL ALLOCATIONS OF $10,000 AND
$26,000 RESPECTIVELY FOR AHFP NOS. 859 AND 913.
WHEREA~, the City of Anaheim desires to improve the
following street!:
Orangewood Avenue - Ninth Street to Euclid Str.eet; and
WHEREAf), the aforementioned street is an important
artery in the County of Orange and of general County interest;
and
WHEREA~, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9,
Division 2 of' th~ Streets and Highways Code authorizes a
County, if it so! desires, to expend funds apportioned to it
out of the CalifPr"nia Highway Users Tax Fund f'or aid to any
City in theimprpvement, construction or repair of' a street
within a City; and
WHEREA~, the Bo~rd of' Supervisors has, by appro-
priate action, p~vided funds in the Special Road Improvement
Fund for the improvement of streets within the incorporated
cities of the COJ,mty, which streets are a part of' the
County's Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the Board of' Supervisors, on November 5,
1958, has, by fokwiita1 reso:lution, adopted the f'orma1 procedure
f'or the administ~ation of the Arterial Highway Financing
Program, as reviF:red, which procedure is outlined in a document
on filewiththelCounty Clerk, formally known as the County of'
Orange Arterial Highway Financing Program Procedure Manual;
and

WHEHEAJ:;,itis mutually agreed between the City of
Anaheim and the pounty of Orange that Orangewood Avenue between
Ninth Street and1 Euclid Street, a street included in the Orange
County Master P1~n of Arterial Highways, is a street of general
County interest ~d should be improved in accordance with the
policies of the IArteria1Highway Financing Program; and
WHEHEi' funds originally allocated for the
improvementofangewood Avenue from Ninth to Euclid Street
(Project Nos. 85, and 913) are not sufficient to pay the
costs of such imProvement; and

WHEREA~, in addition to the amounts allocated, an
increase in the .ountof $10,000 is needed to pay the costs
of Right-of-Way ~quisitian (Project No. 859) and an increase
in the amount of 1$26,000 is needed to pay the costs of' design
and construction i(Proj ectNo. 913).
NOW, T~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of A$heim that the City of Anaheim requests the
Board of' Supervisjors of the County of Orange to:
(1) Al10catje an add1tiona1 amount of $10,000 ,for the
AHFP P!ioject No. 859 and add said amount to the
origin~l amount allocated for said Project; and
(2) A110catjean additional amount of $26,000 for AHFP
Project No. 913 'and add said amount to the original
amount :a11ocated for said Project.
THE FOnEGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this , 22i1d day of
