RESOLUTION NO. 78R- ~
A RESOLU~ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE~ AUTHORIZING THE PLACEMENT OF A
FOURTEEN MILLION DOLLAR WATER REVENUE BOND
AUTHORIZA.'rION ON THE NOVEr-mER, 1978 BALLOT.
WHEREAS, iOn June 27, 1978, the City Council approved
the Water utility's Budget and Water Rate increase based on the
fact that certain qapital improvements during the 1978-79 fiscal
year would be fund~ from new revenue bonds; and
WHEREAS, 1in addition to the capital improvements re-
quired during the ~78-79 fiscal year, there are many other im-
provements and addiltions to be made to the City's water system
during the next five years; and
WHEREAS, :in October, 1977, in their report to the City
Council, the Citiz~s' Capital Improvements Committee recommended
funding various imProvements and additions to the City's water
system from revenue bonds; and
WHEREAS, !the Public Utilities Board, on August 3, 1978,
recommended that ~ City Council authorize the placement of a
Fourteen Million Dq[lar ($14,000,000.00) water revenue bond auth-
orization on the Nqvember, 1978 ballot.
NOW, THERlEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Ana.~eiIl1 that the Utilities Director and City Clerk
are hereby authori~d and directed to take appropriate steps to
place a Fourteen Mifllion Dollar ($14,000,000.00) water revenue
bond authorization ~n the ballot for the election to be held in
November, 1978, suqject to the Council's approval of the final
language of the baLlot measure.
THE FOREQPING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of tha Ci-t:y of Anaheim this 8th day of August,
1978.
