A RESOLVTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEI~lAPPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF
AN AME!~.vMENT TO AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE.CITY,OF
ANAHEIM I THE CITY OF GARDEN GROVE AND THE CITY
OF STANtN RELATING TO PARTICIPATION IN A
JUVENIL DIVERSION/TREATMENT PROGRAM AND AUTHOR-
IZING T MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
AMENDME T TO AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM~
WHE REA St' . the United States Congress by Public Law
93-83 passed the . rime Control Act of 1973 whereby certain
funds were made a ailable to help in the area of administra-
tion of justice a d prevention of crime; and
WHEREAS~ funds have been allocated to the State of
California which Jon turn ha.s made said funds available under
the Office ofCritdnal Justice Planning (OCJP) to various
communities in t~ state; and
WHEREAS~ the City of Garden Grove has filed an
application with ~heOrange County Criminal Justice Council
dated January 16,: 1976, requesting certain funds pursuant to
Public Law 93-83;: and
WHEREAS!' the Cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove and
Stanton en. tered i to an Agreement with respect to the Juvenile
Diversion/Treatme t Program to cover the period from January 1,
1978, through Aug at 31, 1978; and
WHEREAS~ said Agreement is scheduled to terminate: on
August 31, 1978, and the parties desire to extend said Agree-
ment to, and incl\.t.ding, September 30, 1978, with all terms
therein to remain! in full force and effect; and

WHEREASt' . an Amendment to said Agreement has been
prepared,theters and conditions of which are .acceptableto
theClty of Anahe . ; and
WHEREA~. the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit . in the best interests of the City to
approve the propo . d Amendment between the City of Anaheim,
the City of Garde Grove and the City of Stanton providing
for continued parJiicipation of the City of Anaheim in said
Juvenile Diversiop./Treatment Program, upon the terms and
conditions set forth in said Amendment.

NOW, T~REFORE' BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of An heim that said Amendment this day submitted
to the City Counc 1 to be made and entered into between the
City of Anaheim, the City of Garden Grove and the City of
Stanton relating to extending the term of the Juvenile
Diversion/Treatme+t Program upon the terms and conditions
set forth in said'Amendmentbe, and the same is hereby,
approved.
BE IT !fRTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
areauthor1zed to/execute said Amendment to Agreement on
behalf of the Citr of Anaheim.
