A RESOLUT.ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE~ FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIE~CE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT:
TRAFFIC aIGNALS AND SAFETY LIGHTING AT THE
INTERSEC~ION OF EUCLID STREET AND MEDICAL
CENTER D~IVE, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEI~ACCOUNT
NO. 01-794-6325-4070,
APPROVINi THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPEC FICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZ NG THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEM$NT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPEC I-
FICATION$, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PtOPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, pUblic convenience and necessity require the
'construction and completion of a pUblic improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Traffic signa~s and safety lighting installation at the
intersection bf Euclid Street and Medical Center Drive,
in the City otE Anaheim, and all appurtenant work as
shown on the plans and delineated in the specifications
on file in ~ Office of the City Engineer, Account No.
01-794-6325-4070.

WHEREAS, said Public W~kS Department has prepared
said .detai1ed desi8ns, plans, pro 11e8, drawings and specifica-
tions for the cons~ruction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practi~e and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of th~ City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said ~rea for the purposes for which they are
intended, and, that they are adequate for the construction of
said public improv~ment and should be approved.
NOW, THEaEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anahei~ that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and sp~ci~ications for said public improvement herein-
above mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopted as prepared by said Public Works
Department
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be construct~d in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, d*awings and specifications as prepared by said
P~l:\rq Works De~t and hereby approved, and such
a enda or modifICit: ons thereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids taerefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice a~cording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications as prepared by said Public Works Department
, the pUblic improvements hereinabove
mentioned and desc:t1bed, and fixing the 24th day of August ,
1978, at the hour Qf 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the-open1ng of sa1~ b1ds at the C1ty Counc1l Chamber 1n the C1ty
Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which pUblications shall be at
least ten (10) day$ prior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that saidl publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall bt required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim Inthe manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completio~ of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans and

the notice invitirtg sealed proposals, t s resolution and all
applicable City O~dinances or Code Sections and the laws of
the State of Calitornia, and shall be required to post bonds
and insurance in the amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals,
and in a form appnoved by the City Attorney.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
