RESOLUTION NO. 78R- 498
A RESOLUT~NOF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIt-t FINDING AND DlTERMINING THAT THERE
WERE NO B~~S RECEIVED FOR THE REMODELING OF
THE DAY CNm. .. CENTER OF THE SENIOR CITIZENS'
CENTER, Tti1AT SAID JOB NOT BE ,READVERTISEDAND
THAT SAIDt IMPROVEMENTS BE PERFORMED BY CITY
FORCES.
WHEREAS, pn the 20th day of June, 1978, Resolution
No. 78R-397 wasado~ted by the City Council finding and
determining that puJ>lic convenience and necessity required
the remodeling of t~e day care center at the Senior Citizens'
Center, 222 EastCbP.rtres Street, in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 78R-397 did set the 20th
day of July, 1978, at the hour of 2 :00 p.m., as the date and
hour for the opening of said bids; and
WHEREAS, itheCity Engineer did report to the City
Council that no bidls were received for the above"';mentioned
public improvement; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director does hereby
recommend to the C~ty Council that completion of said project
by September 30, 1978, does not allow sufficient time for
readvertising, tha'ti.said work can be performed more economically
by City forces and i1;jhat said job not be readvertised; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now finds that it would
be for the benefit and in the best interests of the City
that this job not bereadvertised and that said improvements
be performed more economically by City forces; and
WHEREAS, Jt1heCi ty Council does hereby authorize the
Director of Public Works to proceed with the project on a
force account basis, Account No. 14-278-6340-80090.
NOW, THEijEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anal1eim that the remodeling of the day care
center of the Senicbt Citizens' Center not be readvertised, and
that said improvements be performed by City forces on a force
account basis.
