RESOLUTION NO. 78R-495
A RESOLUTtON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIjrr DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN PUBLIC
STREET(S)!SHOULD BE ABANDONED AND ESTABLISH-
INGCONDIftrONS PRECEDENT TO SAID ABANDONMENT.
(Ridge Gate Road)
WHEREAS,1;he City Council of the City of Anaheim has
elected to proceed "nder the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1941 (SectiotJ, 8300 et seq., streets and Highways Code) in
connection with reqtl~sts for vacation and abandonment of public
streets within the C1ty of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did, by resolution duly posted
and published, give notice of its intention to abandon the follow-
ing described publib street; to wit, a portion of Ridge Gate Road
(hereinafter Street~ more specifically described as follows:
That certain d~c1icated public roadway, commonly
known as Ridge Gate Road, located in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
described as follows:
That certain 5~-foot roadway, commonly known as
Ridge Gate Roa~1,lying within Lot 64 in Tract
No. 8418, as sppwn on a map recorded in Book
370, pages 10 I;hrough 13, inclusive, Miscellan-
eous Maps,rect>~ds of said Orange County,
subJect to the following reservation in favor of the City of
Anaheim:
Reserving ther~:from a 5-footpublic utility ease-
mentover,und~J[" and across the westerly 5 feet
thereof, the ep,sterly line of said 5-footeasement
being paralleliwith and 5 feet easterly of the east
right of way lltine of Old Bucket Lane, 74 feet wide,
as shown on th~ map of said Tract No. 8418; and
WHEREAS, pn the 1st day of August, 1978, a public hearing
was held to allow ~terested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed abandpnment; and

WHEREAS, ;the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find from the evidence submitted to it that said Street is unneces-
sary for present or' prospective public use; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has further determined that
certain conditions must be met prior to making of an order vacating
and abandoning said Street.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does determine that said Street should be aban-
doned and vacated subject to the fOllowing conditions:
1. Applicant :shall submit a parcel map to the City Engineer
for approvalshowins lots to be created.
2. Reserving unto the City the westerly 5 teet for public
utility purposes.
3. Applicant, ishall dedicate all vehicular access rights
along Nohl RanchRo~ to the City. Said access rights can be
dedicated via aboveflBentioned parcel map upon recordation.
4. Applicant !shall construct full street improvements at
no cost to the City ,along the eas t side of Old Bucket Lane, along
the westerly edge or Ridge Gate Road, as required by the City
Engineer.
5. Applicant :shall pay all estimated costs of $600.00 to
abandon, remove, rep'ocate or reroute the existing 8-inch water
line located 5 feet south of the centerline of Ridge Gate Road,
as required by the Cjity Water Division. .
BE IT FURtrHER RESOLVED that should the conditions set
forth in the precedtLng parag!l'aph be fulfilled within one hundred
eighty (180) days or the date of this Resolution, the City Council
will make its order vacating and abandoning said Street.
BE IT FURfHER RESOLVED that should all of said conditions
not be fulfilled wiftlin said one hundred eighty (180) days or such
further time as theiCity Council may grant, then this Resolution
shall terminate, and resort shall be had to a new and separate
proceeding.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the, City of Anaheim this 1st day of August, 1978.
