A RESOLUTI 'NOF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
FILE AND E CUTE A GRANT APPLICATION WITH THE
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, EDUCATION AND WELFARE
PURSUANT THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL PERSONNEL
ACT FOR F S TO OBTAIN THE SERVICES OF A
SENIOR HU SERVICES SPECIALIST.
WHEREAS, l' Congress (i)f the United States hasadepted
the Inter90vernmenta 'Personnel Act aIld authorized theadministra-
ti_ of said Act by , e Department of Health, Education and- Welfare

WHEREAS, ~.purpose of said Act iato provide senior
HEW personnel with s 'lIs in human services planning, management,
delivery systems, an budgeting for special assignment with State
and local governments,. and

WHEREAS, ,th=Ci ty Council finds that it would be of bene-
fit and in the best: ',', erests of the City to obtain the services of
a senior human servis specialist for the purposes hereinabove
specified, and

WHEREAS, th~CitY Council desires to authorize the City
Maaager of the City 0 Anaheim to execute and file a grant appli-
cation with the Depar ent of Health, Education and Welfare pur-
suant to the provisio, S of the Intergovernmental Personnel Act.
NOW, THE RE, BE ~ RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim d s hereby approve the filing of a grant
application with the epartment of Health, Education and Welfare
pursuant to the provi ions of the Intergovernmental Per.sonnel Act
and does further auth rize and direct the City Manager to execute
and file said applica :Lon for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.

BE IT FURT:!: RESOLVED that the City agrees to provide
such matching funds are required for said grant under the pro-
visions of the Interg vernmental Personnel Act and all rules and
regulations thereof. '
