RESOLUTION NO. 78R-~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIm AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
CLERK TO tECORD THE PROCEEDINGS OF ALL EXECU-
TIVE SESSIONS OF THE CITY COUNCIL.

WHEREAS, Section 54957.2 of the Government Code of the
State of California authorizes the City Council to designate a
clerk or other offiier or employee of the City to attend each
executive session 0 the City Council and keep and enter in a
minute book a recor of topics discussed and decisions made at
the meeting which m.y also include a recording of the executive
sessions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to designate the City
Clerk to attend all executive sessions of the City Council and to
keep a minute book pf such proceedings and to further make a tape
recording of such proceedings.
NOW, THE~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim' that the City Clerk, or a designated ~epre-
sentative, be, and the same is hereby, authorized and directed to
attend all executiv~ sessions of the City Council and keep and
enter in a minute bOok a record of topics discussed and dec~sions
made at the meeting in accordance with the confidentiality and
restrictions specified in Section 54957.2 of the Government Code
of the State of Cal~fornia.
BE IT FURtHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk, or a desig-
nated representati~, be, and the same is hereby, authorized and
directed to make a tape recording of all executive session pro-
ceedings, unless otherwise directed by the City Council, which
recordings shall be subject to the same confidentiality and re-
strictions as are set forth in Section 54957.2 of the Government
Code of the State O!f California. Said recordings shall be retained
by the City Clerk until such time as their destruction or erasure
is authorized by the City Council. The City Clerk shall not be
required to make a written transcription of any such recording or
any portion thereof, except upon the affirmative vote of a majority
of the total memberjShip of the City Council.
