RESOLUTION NO. 78R-833
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO. 3062

WHEREAS, after a request for variance by DAVID S. AND
~~RION GRAAF COLLINS, owners; and LONG BEACH NEON ADVERTISING,
INC., agent, was re~eived, a public hearing before the Planning
Commission of the City of Anaheim was held upon due and proper
notice, a result of which Variance No. 3062 was denied coverin~
the following described property: -
That portion of Lots 30 and 31 and abandoned Broad
street of Anah~im Extension, in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orante, State of California, as shown on
a map of surver by William Hamel and filed in the
Office of the tounty Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California, a copy of which is shown in book 3,
page 163 et se~. entitled "Los Angeles County Maps,"
in the Office of the County Recorder of said Orange
County, described as follows:
Beginning at tne Southeast corner of said Lot 30,
being the intersection of the center lines of
Ball Road and West Street, as shown on said map;
thence South 890 58' 56" West 388.70 feet along
the Southerly 1ine of said Lot 30, to the South-
easterly corner of the land conveyed to Fannie
Moore, by deed recorded March 2, 1929, in book
251, page 139"Official Records; thence North
00 23' 00" West 785.46 feet along the Easterly
line of said l.nd to the Northeasterly corner
of said land; thence North 740 20' 00" East
166.00 feet to the Easterly line of said Lot 31,
being the cent_r line of said West Street; thence
Southeasterly 861.95 feet along the Easterly line
or said Lots 3P and 31 to the point or beginning.

WHEREAS, thereafter, within the time prescribed by law
an interested part~ or the City Council, on its own motion,
caused the review Qf said Planning Commission action at a public
hearing noticed and held as prescribed by law and, as a result
thereof, the City Oouncil does hereby make the following
findings:
1. That thene are no special circumstances applicable
to the property wh~ch do not apply to other property in the
same vicinity and ~one.
2. That strict application of the zoning code does not
deprive the proper~y of privileges enjoyed by other property
in the same vicini t,y and zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that said Variance be, and the same is
hereby, denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of; the City of Anaheim this 26th day of
December, 1978.
