A RESOLUTIOfOF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM . QUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE
TO INCLUDE tTHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING
PROGRAM CRR 'IN HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS.
(1979-1980) !
WHEREAS. the 1"City of Anaheim desires to improve the
fOllowing streets: .

EUclid Street-Kate~la Avenue to 150' S/o Ord Way.
Lincoln Avenue-Sta.e College Boulevard to East Street.

Jforementioned streets are important
~ Orange and of general County interest;
WHEREAS. the
arteries in the County
and
WHEREAS, Artic e 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2
of the Streets and Highw ys Code authorizes a County, if it so
desires, to expend funds aPPortioned to it Out of the California
Highway Users Tax Fund f r aid to any City in the improvement,
construction or repair 0 , a street within a City; and

WHEREAs. the Bird of Supervisors intends to , by
appropriate action, provi e in the County of the Special Road
Improvebent Fund for the iscal Year 1979-1980 a sum of money
for the improvement of St "ets within the incorpOrated cities of
the County in accordance :f:th the Orange County Arterial Highway
Financing Program. i
NOW, THEREFORE, E IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim tha the City of Anaheim requests,
and it does hereby request the Board of SUpervisors of the
County of Orange to alloca e to the City of Anaheim, from
County funds, the amountSt forth below, said amounts to
be matched by funds from sa'd City, to be used to aid said
City in the improvement of he streets set forth herein and
for the acquisition of nece sary rights-of_way; said improve-
ments and acquiSition of ri hts-of-way and the Specific amounts
in connection with each pro ect are as set forth below:

This is a cOOferative project with the City of
Garden Grove, and the City of Garden is acting as
lead agency. ,The scope of the project is the
reconstructio of the roadway to return it to
an acceptable service level.

$331,000 Lincolp Avenue-State College Boulevard to East Street.
The SCf' pe of this project is to rejuvenate and
overla the eXisting pavement to return the
roadwa to an acceptable service life. Included
is the modification of eXisting traffic signali_
zation1 installation of signal interconnect, and
constrttction of a Master Planned Storm Drain.

BE IT FURTHEl RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Orang is hereby requested to find that said
works and acquisitionf rights-of_way as set forth above are
in the general County ,nterest. .
BE IT FURTHE RESOLVED that by this resolution that
the City of Anaheim ag ees with the basic concepts of the
Arterial Highways Fina ing Program; and further agrees that
its share of the cost improvements and rights-of-way will
be available for the Fi cal Year 1979-1980.
AND BE IT FURjHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be I
and she. is hereby, authr ized and directed to forwa. rd a certified
copy of this resolution to the Board of SuperVisors of Orange
County, California, and a certified copy to the County Surveyor
and Road Commissioner a 400 Civic Center Drive West, Santa Ana,
California. !
