A RESOLU~ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENI ~CE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AN, COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT:
TRAFFIC!SIGNALS AND SAFETY LIGHTING AT THE IN-
TERSECT~ON OF BALL ROAD AND DALE AVENUE, IN THE
CITY OFiANAHEIM, ACCOUNT NO. 13-795-6325-5030,
APPROVI THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPE IFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORI ING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVE BNT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIO S, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CIT i CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED p,ROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS · public convenience Hod necessity require the
construction and ~ompletion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Traffic signt1s and safety lighting at the intersec-
tion of BalllRoad and Dale Avenue, in the City of
Anaheim, con,1sting of the modification of traffic
signals and ,afety lighting, and all appurtenant
work as show~ on the plans and delineated in the
specificatio~s on file in the Office of the City
Engineer, Ac~ount No. 13-795-6325-5030.

WHEREAS, ~aid Public Works Department has prepared
said detailed desigqs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions for the const~uction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same tjo the City Council; and
WHEREAS, !he City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, pro iles, drawings and specifications for said
pUblic improvement bove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practic~ and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the iCity of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said a~ea for the purposes for which they are
intended, and that ijhey are adequate for the construction of
said public improver4ent and should be approved.
NOW, THER~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim!that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specif~cations for said public improvement herein-
above mentioned andidescribed be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopteq as prepared by said Public Works
Department .
AND BE ITiFURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructe4 in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, dr wings and specifications as prepared by said
Wo ks De rt nt and hereby approved, and such
a en a or mo ca ons hereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids th~refor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and ,he is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice ac~ording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of a~l plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all $tilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and,performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a .ood and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with sai~ detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications $8 prepared by said Public Works
n~ff~tm~nt ., the pUblic improvements hereinabove
men oned and descrfbed, and fixing the 11th day of Januarl '
19~, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour or
the opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the ~irst or which publications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of
blds, and that said pUblications shall be at least rive (5) days
apart.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans and

specifications prEtpared by said Public Works Department ,
the notice invitiQg sealed proposals, this resolution and all
applicable City O~dinances or Code Sections and the laws of
the State of Cali~orniaJ and shall be required to post bonds
and insurance in ~he amounts and within the time required by
law, as specifiediin the notice inviting sealed proposals,
and in a form apprloved by the City Attorney.
THE FOR~GOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 19th day of
December I ' 197~.
