RESOLUTION NO. 78R-811
A RESOLUTJON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIm ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT
OF A PORTION OF CORONADO STREET.
WHEREAS, 4he City CoUnCilor the City or Anaheim did,
by resolution duly P~sted and PUblished, give notice or its
intention to vacate Wnd abandon the pUblic street Or alley
hereinarter describeU; and
WHEREAS, o~ the 19th day or December, 1978, a
pUblic hearing was h~ld to allow interested persons to submit
eVidence conCerning ~aid proposed vacation and abandonment; and
WHEREAS, tqe City Councilor the City or Anaheim does
nnd, rrom the evidenf:e sUbmitted, that the pUblic street or
alley hereinarter spepirically described is unnecessary ror
present or prospective pUblic street purposes.
'~EREAS, th~ City Council does determine that the
PUblic convenience an~ necessity require the reservation and
exception or the ease~ent(s) and right(s) or way hereinarter
specifically described.
NOW, THEREFO~E, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
or the City or Anaheim! does hereby order the vacation and
abandonment or that portion or Coronado Street located between
Van Buren Street and La Palma Avenue, more specirically
described as follows:
Commencing at a PQint in the north line or the Northwest
quarter or Section 4, ~ownShip 4 South, Range 9 West, S.B.B.
& M., said pOint being ~he centerline intersection or Van Buren
Street and Coronado Street as said centerlines are described in
deed recorded March 23, 1977 in Book 12115, page 147, orncial
Records; thence East along the centerline or said Coronado
Street a distance or 32.00 reet to the true pOint or beginning;
thence North 20 reet to an intersection with a line parallel
with and 20 reet north or the centerline of said Coronado Street;
thence East 66Q.26 feet along said parallel line to an inter_
section with the northerly right or way line or La Palma Avenue,
said Point or intersect~on being a Point in a curve concave
southeasterly and having a radius or 1,653 reet, a radial line
bearing or N 15" 59' 34" W passes th~ugh said Point; th~ce
Southwesterly along said CUrve being a portion or the northerly
right or way line or said La Palma Avenue through a central
angle or 4" 26' 18" an arc distance or 128.05 reet to an inter_
section with a line parallel with and 20 reet southerly or the
centerline or said Coronado Street; thence West along said
parallel line 411.09 ~et; thence S 2" 14' 45" W, 12.00 reet
to an intersection With a line parallel With and 32.00 reet

southerly or said C~ronado Street; thence West 131.10 feet
along the last mentioned parallel line to an intersection with
a line parallel wi tij and 32.00 feet easterl~r or the centerline
of Van Buren Street; thence North along the last mentioned
parallel line 32.00 feet to the true point of beginning.
Reserving unto the City of Anaheim a public utility
easement together with an easement for sanitary sewer line,
storm drain and water line purposes over, under and across
all or the above described roedway area proposed ror abandonment.
Also, reserving unto the Pacific Telephone Co. an
easement to construct, place, operate, inspect, maintain, repair,
replace and remove s1j.6h aerial and underground telephone, telegraph
and communication st~uctures as the company may rrom time to time
require, consisting df poles, anchors, wires, cables, conduits,
manholes, markers and necessary rixtures and appurtenances over,
under, along and acr~as the northerly 5 feet or all or the area
above described.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorlzed and directed to cause a certified
copy of this Resoluti~n and Order, attested by her under the
seal of the City or A*aheim, to be recorded in the Of rice or
the County Recorder of Orange County, California. .
THE FOREGOIijG RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 19th day or
December, 1978.
