A RESOLU~ON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE! FINDINP AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIE~CE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT: 1
HELENA S~REET STREET IMPROVEMENT AND SECURITY
PACIFIC ANK STORM DRAIN, LINCOLN AVENUE TO
N/O CHES ! UT STREET, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
ACCOUNT o. 46-792-6325-2270.
APPROVIN THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPEC FICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZ NG THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEM NT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATION , ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED P OPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, i public convenience cmd necessity require the
construction and Ctmpletion of a public improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit

Helena Street treet improvement and Security Pacific
Bank storm dra n, Lincoln Avenue to 50' N/o Chestnut
Street, in the City of Anaheim, consisting of ex cava-
tion; removal f P.C.C. curb, sidewalk and driveway;
removal of asp alt concrete; construction of P.C.C.
curb, gutter, 1dewalk and driveway; construction of
asphalt concre e curb; construction of asphalt concrete
over base mate 1al; adjastment of manhole frame and
cover; constru tion of R.C.P. storm drain; construction
of junction st ucturej and all appurtenant work as shown
on. the plans a1d delineated in the specifications on
file in the Of ice of the City Engineer, Account
No. 46-792-632 -2270.

AS, the City Council instructed the Public
to prepare detailed des1gns, plans,
spec icat1ons, and estimates of
s and make necessary surveys for the construc-
inprovement; and

said .detailed desigrts, plans, pro es, aw ngs and specifica-
tions for the const~uction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same ~o the City Council; and

WHEREAS, ~he City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, pro iles, drawings and specifications for said
pUblic 1mprovementbove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practic and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the$ity of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said a ea for the purposes for which they are
intended, and that hey are adequate for the construction of
said public improve nt and should be approved.
NOW, THER~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim,that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifcations for said public improvement herein-
above mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopte~ as prepared by said Public Works
Department .
BE IT FUR ER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and e is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice ac ording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of a 1 plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all ilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and erforming all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a od and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with sai detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications . prepared by said Public Wn-rkR
Denarrr-t, the pUblic improvements hereinabove
mentioned an escr~ed, and fixing the 14th day of Decemb,r ,
l~, at the hour o~ 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour or
the opening of said ~ids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of ~naheim, and that said notice shall be
published t\'lice, thei first of which pub lications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.

AND BE IT PURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in t~ manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City! of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion pf said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descri~ed, in accordance with the plans and

specifications prjPared by said Pub11c Worksp~~rtmeut ,
the notice inviti g sealed proposals, this resolut"lon and all
applicable City 0 dinances or Code Sections and the laws of
the State of Cali ornia, and shall be required to post bonds
and insurance in he amounts and within the time required by
law, as specified lin the notice inviting sealed proposals,
and in a form app~oved by the City Attorney.
