RESOLUTION NO. 78R-677
A RESOLUWION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE~M AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE ClERTAIN AGREEMENTS FOR LABOR AND
SERVICES' ~OR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Anaheim in
Section 518 author~~es the City Council, by ordinance or
resolution, to per~t the C~ty Manager to bind the City by
contract for the apquisition of equipment, materials, supplies,
labor, services, or: other items included within the budget
approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel Department frequently needs
to enter into rout~ne agreements for the placing of classified
ads for employment in those publications deemed most likely to
obtain the desired results; and
WHEREAS"the City Council desires to augment the
authority granted 'by Section 518 by authorizing the City
Manager to execute agreements as aforesaid under certain
conditions. .
NOW, THE~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager
be, and he is here~y, authorized to bind the City, with a
written contract, for the placing of classified ads for employ-
ment in those publ~~ations deemed most likely to obtain the
desired results pr,Vided th.t the amounts of compensation
therefor are inclu~ed within the budget approved by the City
Council.
THE FORE~OING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council ot the City of Anaheim this l7~h day of
October, 1978.
