A RESOL!~ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHIM AUTHO~IZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE CERTAIN AGREEMENTS FOR LABOR AND
SERVICE FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM~
WHEREAS the Charter of the City of Anaheim in
Section 518 autho 1zes the City Council, by ordinance or
resolution, to pe ~t the City Manager to Qind the City by
contract for the Cquisiti9n of equipment, materials, supplies,
labor, services, ~ other items included within the budget
approved by the c,ty Council; and
WHEREAS~the Personnel Department has periodic need
to utilize profes.ional consultants in such fields as super-
visory and manage nt training, affirmative action, employment
or promotional ex nations, and special recruiting efforts
or prob lems; and
WHE~AS~ the City Council desires to augment the
authority grantedtby Section 518 by authorizing the City
Manager to executf! agreements as aforesaid under certain
conditions. .
NOW, TH REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of An heim that it does hereby authoriz~ the City
Manager to bind t City, with a written contract, for the
acquisition of la pr and services in connection with super-
visory and manage. nt training, affirmative action, employment
or promotional ex inations, and special recruiting efforts and
problems provided, that the amounts of compensation therefor
are included withLn the budget approved by the City Council and
provided further ~hat said individual agreements do not exceed
the swn of $2,500~OO.
THE FO~GOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council pf the City of Anaheim this 17th day of
October, 1978.
