A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING BILL MORGAN OR SANDI
HORWITZ TO ACCEPT A GRANT AWARD FROM THE
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY FOR THE INNOVATIVE
RATES PROGRAM
WHEREAS, on August 5, 1980, the City Council approved
the City's application to the U.S. Department of Energy for a
grant award relating to a proposed Innovative Rates Program; and
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded .53,700.00 for
Task B of said Program; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Government is desireous of having
this grant award accepted prior to the end of the Federal fiscal
year (September 30, 1980); and
WHEREAS, rather than incurred expenses of sending City
staff to Washington, it is desireous of having City Consortium
Representatives, Bill Morgan or Sandi Horwitz, sign the grant
acceptance on behalf of the City in Washington.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of. the City of Anaheim authorizes Bill Morgan or Sandi Horwitz
to accept a grant award from the U.S. Department of Energy for
the Innovative Rates Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 23rd day of
September, 1980.
