80R-454 RESOLUTION NO. 80R -454
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ENDORSING LANDSCAPING FOR ORANGE
FREEWAY.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Council has been on record for
at least the last ten years as being in support of landscaping for
the Orange Freeway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has contacted the State of
California on numerous occasions during this period of time to
urge their attention to the completion of this important transporta-
tion resource; and
WHEREAS, the planting of landscaping on this freeway
project is important in terms of erosion control and overall
structural maintenance of . the freeway; and
WHEREAS, landscaping has not only a desirable aesthetic
appeal but does in fact perform health and health related purpose
as well; and
WHEREAS, all of the cities of North Orange County and
throughout the County have been supportive of this project in the
past.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does once again go on record as restating its
strong support for the immediate and thorough completion of land-
scaping on the Orange Freeway and asks that copies of this resolution
be transmitted to all North Orange County cities, the Orange County
Board of Supervisors, the Orange County Transportation Commission
and other organizations which have expressed their interest in this
important work.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 7th day of October, 1980.
