A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING RATES OF
COMPENSATION FOR JOB CLASSES REPRESENTED
BY THE ANAHEIM POLICE ASSOCIATION, ESTAB-
LISHING TWO NEW CLASSIFICATIONS, AND
SUPERSEDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 77R -798,
77R -799, and 77R -840.
WHEREAS, the City Management Representative met and
conferred with officials and employee representatives of the Anaheim
Police Association in October, 1980 to discuss wages; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to supersede
Resolutions No. 77R -798, 77R -799 and 77R -840, which established
rates of compensation for job classes represented by the Anaheim
Police Association; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find that establishing rates of compensation for these classifications
is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
SECTION 1.
That effective October 10, 1980 through October 8, 1981 inclusive,
the basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the
City of Anaheim who are now employed or will in the future be employed
in any of the classifications listed below shall be allocated to
the following salary schedules in the salary schedule master:

SECTION 3.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the classifications of Extra Police
Officer Supervisor, and Police Officer Trainee be created effective
October 10, 1980 and allocated to the salary schedules in Sections
one and two of this Resolution.
SECTION 4.
0 The letter "U" preceding a schedule number indicates that
employees upgraded to that job class shall be paid premium pay as
provided in Personnel Rule 6.42, Premium Pay. The letter "J" pre-
ceding a schedule number indicates that employees working in that
job class may be paid a rate of 5% below the "A" step of the Salary
Schedule for that job class, as provided in Personnel Rule 4.42,
Appropriate Salary Step.
SECTION 5.
The regular hourly rate of pay and overtime compensation for
employees listed in Sections 1, 2, and 3 of this resolution shall be
computed as provided in Personnel Rule 5, Hours of Work and Pay Day,
and Personnel Rule 6, Premium Pay.
SECTION 6.
The provisions of this Resolution shall supersede Resolutions
Nos. 77R -798, 77R -799, and 77R -840.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim this 4th day of November
1980.
