A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 6TH DAY OF
NOVEMBER, 1980, FOR THE SLOPE STORM DAMAGE
REPAIR, TUSTIN AVENUE, FAIRMONT BOULEVARD
AND SANTA ANA CANYON ROAD, ACCOUNT NO.
01- 792 - 6325- E2650.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 14th day of October,
1980, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution
No. 80R -472 finding and determining that public convenience and
necessity required the slope storm damage repair, Tustin Avenue,
Fairmont Boulevard and Santa Ana Canyon Road, in the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the above - mentioned public improvement and fixing
the 6th day of November, 1980, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M.
as the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council
Chamber in the City of Anaheim Civic Center; and
WHEREAS, on said 6th day of November, 1980, at the hour
of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open the
bids received up to that hour, in public, in the Civic Center Council
Chamber, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did review
said bids and did report the results thereof to the City Council
at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of November, 1980: and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bids received
are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost of
said public improvement and are not representative of actual costs
for said public improvement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now finds that due to budgetary
reasons it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of Anaheim
to reject all bids received on the 6th day of November, 1980, and to
readvertise said job at a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the bids received up to the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M. on the 6th day of November, 1980, reviewed by the City
Engineer and submitted to the City Council on November 18, 1980 for
the slope storm damage repair, Account No. 01- 792 - 6325- E2650, be
and the same are hereby rejected, and that said job be readvertised
at a later date.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 18th day of November,
1980.
