A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF A PORTION OF WINSTON ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly posted and published, give notice of its in-
tention to vacate and abandon the public street or alley herein
after described; and
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of November, 1980, a public hear-
ing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concern-
ing said proposed vacation and abandonment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find, from the evidence submitted, that the public street or
alley hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for pres-
ent or prospective public street purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does determine that the public
convenience and necessity require the reservation and exception of
the easement(s) and right(s) of way hereinafter specifically de-
scribed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation and aban-
donment of a portion of Winston Road, westerly of Sunkist Street,
more specifically described as follows:
That portion of Winston Road from 172 feet, more or less,
west of to Sunkist Street lying within the Northwest
quarter of Section 24, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
S.B.B. & M., described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of that certain
parcel of land shown on a map filed in Book 137, pages
26 and 27, Parcel Maps, in the Office of the County
Recorder of Orange County; thence N 0° 14' 29" W, 20
feet; thence N 89° 58' 27" E, 88.55 feet to the true
point of beginning; thence continuing N 89° 58' 27" E,
172.14 feet to an intersection with the westerly right
of way line of said Sunkist Street, said point of inter-
section being in a curve concave southeasterly and hav-
ing a radius of 1,045 feet, a radial line bearing N 41°
26' 04" W passes through said point; thence Southwest-
erly along the westerly right of way line of said right
of way line of Sunkist Street, an arc distance of 58.34
feet to an intersection with a line parallel with and
20 feet southerly of the centerline of said Winston
Road; thence N 89° 45' 36" W, 39.77 feet along said
parallel line to a point in a curve concave southwest-
erly and having a radius of 332 feet, a radial line

bearing N 32° 44' 31" E passes through said point;
thence Northwesterly along said curve through a central
angle of 17° 03' 01" an arc distance of 98.80 feet to
an intersection with a line parallel with and 20 feet
northerly of the centerline of said Winston Road, said
point of intersection also being the true point of
beginning, a radial line bearing N 15° 22' 41" E passes
through said point of intersection and the true point
of beginning.
Reserving unto the City of Anaheim a public utility
easement with all reasonable right of ingress and egress
over, under, along and across the northerly 5 feet of
the land above described.
Reserving unto the Southern California Gas Co. and ease-
ment over, under, along and across the southerly 14 feet
of the northerly 34 feet of the land above described.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of the
City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of the County Re-
corder of Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 18th day of November,
1980.
