CONVENIENC AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND C MPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT: I

OF ANAHEIM ACCOUNT NOS. 16-821-7105 AND

APPROVING E DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPEC IF CATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZIN THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEMEN IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY C ERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PRO OSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, P~lic convenience and necessity require the
construction and completion of a pUblic inprovement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit: !
Senior Citizen ~nter remodeling, in the City of Anaheim,
consisting of r .odeling several areas to the interior
and the exterio of the center located on Lincoln Avenue
including remov 1 and/or construction of walls, floor
replacement, do r and window relocation, plus other modi-
'fications to th existing structure. The portico devel-
opment and work! associated as shown on the plans and
delineated in tie specifications for the project on file
in the office 0 the City Engineer, Account Nos. 16-821-
7105 & 17-821-7 05.

WHEREAS, !aid Public Works Department has prepared
said detailed desig s, plans, profiles, drawin~s and specifica-
tions for the const uction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same 0 the City Council; and
WHEREAS, ~he City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, pro iles, drawings and specifications for said
pUblic improvement bove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practic and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said aEa for the purposes for which they are
~ntended, and that hey are adequate for the construction of
said public improve! nt and should be approved.

NOW, THER~FORE' BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specif cations for said pUblic improvement herein-
above mentioned andJdescribed be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopteq as prepared by said Public Works
Department
AND BE ITIFURTHER RESOLVED that said pUblic improvement
shall be constructe4 in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, ~rofiles, dr wings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works Depart nt and herehy approved, and such
a en a or mo ca ons hereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids th refor.
BE IT FUR!HER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice ac ording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of a 1 plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all ,ti1ities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and !performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a dood and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with sai~ detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings
and specifications &s prepared by said Public Works
Department, the public improvements hereinabove
mentioned and descr~bed, and fixing the 15th day of January ,
1981, at the hour o~ 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the opening of said \bids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of JAnaheim, and that said notice shalJ be
published twice, th~ first of which publications shall be at
least ten (10) days Iprior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said ipublications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.

AND BE IT iFURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be ~equired to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in ~he manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the Cit~ of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion jof said pUblic improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descr~ed, in accordance with the plans and
