SEALED PR~OSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
.. WHEREAS, ~b1ic convenience and necessity require the
construction and conr1etion of a pUblic iDt>rovernent in the City
ot Anaheim, to wit:
Fairmont Boule~.rd Electrical Substation, Els Fairmont
Boulevard 900' 1$/0 Santa Ana Canyon Road and Lewis
Street Electri~l Subst~tion, Cerritos Avenue and Lewis
Street, in the ~ity of Anaheim, consisting of clearing
and grubbing; ~cavation; import borrow; construction
of masonry wal~a and gates; construction of P.C.C. curb,
textured concr~te; erosion control; construction of
asphalt concre~; construction of base material; con-
struction of c~in link fence; installation of irriga-
tion lines; cO~.$truction of R.C.P. storm drain; construc-
tion of inlet ~tructure; construction of electrical
equipment pads,; vaults, conduit system and grounding at
the Fairmont Bdulevard Substation; construction of
electrical equ~pment fo~ndations. subgrade conduit and
grounding at t~e Lewis Street Substation; and all appur-
tenant work as .shown on the plans and delineated in the
specifications ion file in the office of the City
Engineer, Acco4nt Nos. 55-665-6329-75800-36100 and
55-665-6329-8034A-35300,

AND WHERE $, the City Council instructed the
Works to prepare detailed designs, plans,
pro es, raw ngs spec ications, and estimates of
quantities and cost~ and make necessary surveys for the construc-

WHEREAS, sjaid Public Works Department has prepared
said detailed design~, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions for the constrjuction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same tb the City Council; and

WHEREAS, t~e City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, pro~les, dr~ings and specifications for said
pUblic improvement aj)ove mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice/and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the ~ity of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said a$':a for the purposes for which they are
~_n. tended, and that t. ,.ey are adequate for the construction of
said public improve 'nt and should be approved.
NOW, THEREfORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim ~hat the detailed designs, plans, profiles~
drawings and specifi~ations for said public improvement herein-
above mentioned and [described be, and the sar.1e are hereby
approved and adopted/as prepared by said Public Works
Department
AND BE IT ~URTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, dr ings and specifications as prepared by said
Public Works Depar ent and herehy approved, and such
a en a or mo ca ons ereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids thefor.
BE IT FUR~ER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and ~e is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice aC~rding to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of a~l plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all 4t..ilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and lPerforming all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a mood and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with saic1 detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawinGs
and specifications ~s prepared by said Public Works
De artment, the pUblic improvements hereinabove
ment one an escred, and fixing the 22nd day of January
1981, at the hour 0 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the-opening of said ~ids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City or Anahe:1m, and that said notice shal1 be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at
least ten (10) days ~rior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.

AND BE IT ~URTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be ~equired to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in ~e manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City! of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion !Of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descr~ed, in accordance with the plans and
