A RESOLUT~ON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENdE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT:
OLIVE HIL~S AND EASTRIDGE RESERVOIR STORM
DAMAGE REtAIR, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ACCOUNT

APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIRICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;

IMPROVEME~T IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS~ ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PRdPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, HUblic convenience and'necessity require the
construction and completion of a pUblic improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
Olive Hills ancjl Eastridge Reservoir storm damage repair,
in the City of Anaheim, at the two locations, consisting
of restoration of water facilities damaged by the 1980
spring rains.

Install polywrap, construct concrete anchors,
testore backfill and paving in and around area

All work shall be performed as shown on the plans and deline-
ated in the specifications on file in the office of the City
Engineer, Acco~nt Nos. Sl-484-6329-0707E-76100 and 51-479-
6329-05l9E-76020.

AND ~HEREAP, the City Council instructed the
Public Works De art ent to prepare detailed designs, plans,
pro les, drawings d speci ications, and estimates of
quantities and cost$ and make necessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said pUblicirnprovement; and

WHEREAS, said Public Works Department 'has prepared
said detailed desigps, plans, profiles, drawin~s and specifica-
tions for the construction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, proriles, drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practic~ and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said area for the purposes for which they are
intended, and that they are adequate for the construction of
said public improve~nt and should be approved.
NOW, THER~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for said pUblic improvement herein-
above mentioned and described be, and the same ~re hereby
approved and adoptef as prepared by said Pub11c Works
Department
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said pUblic improvement
shall be constructe~ in accordance with said detailed designs,
Pl~r~' ~rofiles, dr,wings and specifications as prepared by sa,id
Pub 1C Works Depart~ent and herehy approved, and such
addenda or modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids th~refor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and She is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice ac~ording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all \Atili ties and transportati,on, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with said detailed designs, plans! profiles, draw1nr,s
and specifications as prepared by said Pub11c Works
Department , the pUblic improvements hereinabove
mentioned and described, and fixing the 22nd day of January ,
19 8~ at the hour ot 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the-opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shall be
published twice, the first of which pUblications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and descr~bed, in accordance with the plans and
