80R-583 -, I --., .....-.., RESOLUTION NO. 80R-S83 A RESOLU~ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAH~ ADOPTING A NEW FEE SCHEDULE OF SANITATIPN CHARGES AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 80R-:287 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has established a pol wy to ado:pt all fees and charges to be collected within tlhe City of Anaheim by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore adopted Resolution No. 80M-287 establishing certain sanitation charges; and WHEREAS" the City Council finds it necessary and desirable to amend said charges at this time in the manner hereinafter set fdrth. NOW, TH~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anahe~ that the following fee schedule be, and the same is hereby, adopted for sanitation charges in the City of Anaheim: 1. RESIDEN1IAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION CHARGES (a) FOI standard collection (available to all re~idential dwelling units) consisting of on~ solid waste collection per week from di.posable or reusable containers, the sum of Two Dollars and Ninety-Nine Cents ($2.99) pet dwelling unit per month. (b) For bulk collection (available only to ap,rtments, condominiums, and mobile homes whtch use t~e three cubic yard bulk contain- er, supplie~ by the City's solid waste collection contractor), the basic fee sum of Tw~ Dollars and Seventy-Four Cents ($2.74) per dwelling unit per month. In addition to the basic fee, the contractor is entitled to charge, by direct billing to the owner or ma.ager requesting such service, an additional fee in accordance with the following schedule: A B C D E F Freq~ency of Collection 1 per week 2 per week 3 per week 4 per week 5 per week 6 per week Monthly Charge Class of Service ..-., $14.50 $23.50 $32.50 $41. 50 $50.50 $59.50 -1- i. j J~ .~ ~, ~ (c) For special collection (available to re~idential dwelling units which generate sotid waste of a character or quantity whioh requires special cOllection), the ch~rges shall be the reasonable cost of the removal thereof as determined by the Public Works Executive Director of the City of Anaheim. 2. COMMERC~L AND INDUSTRIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTOON CHARGES Solid w.te collenction services are available on a regularly schedul~ basis to all commercial and industrial establishments. ~ch establishments include motels, hotels, recreational vehi~e parks, restaurants, professional offices, club houses, placepJ of entertainment, manufacturing plants, private schools, ~ any other organization or business whether of a service, wholesale or retail variety, including nonprofit organizations. (a) For standard collection (available to all co..ercial or industrial establishments) con~isting of one solid waste collection per cus~omer per week from a maximum of four disposable or reusable containers, the sum of Two Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($2.75) per container per month. (b) For bulk collection (available only to est~lishments which use the three cubic yart:) bulk containers supplied by the City's solid waste collection contractor), the fo11owing monthly fees shall apply: Class of Service Frequency of Collection Mon thly Charges A 1 per week $27.00 B 2 per week $34.00 C 3 per week $41.00 D 4 per week $49.00 E 5 per week $55.00 F 6 per week $62.00 "..-.. (c) For special collection (available to establish- ments which generate solid waste of a character or quantity which requires special cOllection), the charges shall be the reasonable cost of the rempval thereof as determined by the Public Works Executive Director of the City of Anaheim. -2- ,~ ~ i'f """" 3. RESIDENTI~L SEWER MAINTENANCE CHARGES (a) For each residential dwelling unit located within the City of Anaheim to which a sewer main~ owned and/or maintained by the City of Ao:aheim, is available, the sum of Eighteen Cents ($0.18) per dwelling unit per month. (b) For each residential dwelling unit located outs~de the corporate limits of the City of Anaheim but which is connected to the City sewe~ system and which receives water and/or electric service from the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00) per dwelling unit per m,on th. (c) For each residential dwelling unit located outs~de the corporate limits of the City which is connected to the sewer system but which does not receive water and/or electric serv;ice from the City of Anaheim, the sum of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per year. Said fee is due and payable on, or before the first day of July of each year. A penalty sum of Five Dollars ($5.00) per month (not prorated) shall be added to the amount due at the beginning of each month, commencing with the first day of August for default of full payment. Said fee is nonrefundable, in whole or part, and shall be paid annually, in advance, to the Director of Finance of the City of Anaheim. 4. COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL SEWER MAINTENANCE CHARGES (a) For each commercial or industrial establishment incl~ding, but not limited to, motels, hotels, rest~urants, professional offices, club houses, places of entertainment, manufacturing plants, pUblftc and private schools, and any other org~ization or business whether of a service, whol~sale or retail variety, including nonprofit organizations (but excluding recreational vehicle parkS), a fee of Forty-Five Cents ($0.45) per month for each water closet located therein. (b) For each recreational vehicle park, a fee of Forty-Five Cents ($0.45) per month for each watec closet located therein, and an additional fee of Forty-Five Cents ($0.45) per month for each recreational vehicle space equipped with a sewage d ispos,al connec tion. -3- ~ (""-)- i ~\ 5. STREET CLEANING CHARGES ,~ (a) For each residential dwelling unit located within the City of Anaheim, a fee of Fifty- Five Cents ($0.55) per unit per month. (b) For each commercial or industrial establish- ment located within the City of Anaheim, a fee of One Dollar and Twenty-Two Cents ($1.22) per unit per month. BE IT FU~HER RESOLVED that the provisions of this resolution shall ~. deemed effective January 1, 1981 and that Resolution No. 80~287 shall be deemed repealed effective as of such date.
