A RESOLUTIQN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIMiFINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC
CONVENIENC~ AND NECBSSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUC-
TION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO
WIT:
LA PALMA A,ENUE FEDERAL AID URBAN PROJECT -
STREET & StORM DRAIII IMPROVEMENT - FAU
NO. M-L073(1), IN TeE CITY OF ANAHEIM,
ACCOUNT NOS. l3-793-6325-E3230 & 51-606-6329-25610-34320.
APPROVING 1HE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES, DRAWINGS
AND SPECIFtCATIONS 'OR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZIN$ THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AN~ AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CtERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, p~blic convenience and necessity require the
construction and comPletion of a pUblic improvement in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
La Palma Avenue Federal Aid Urban Project - Street and Storm Drain
Improvement, FAU No. M~L073(1), La Palma Avenue - Brookhurst Street
to Magnolia Avenue1 SeRPoia Avenue - La Palma Avenue to 123' W/o
Alamo Street, in the City of Anaheim, consisting of clearing and
grubbing1 excavation1 construction of P.C.C. curb, gutter, drive
approach, sidewalk, acpess ramp, curb transition and collar1 A.C.
removal 1 application ot rejuvenating agent1 heater 'remix1 construc-
tion of base materia11 construction of asphalt concrete1 installa-
tion of paddleboards1 relocation of signs1 adjustment of manholes,
water valves and pull boxes to grade1 traffic signal and loops 1
traffic signal interconnect1 installation of pavement markers1
construction of R.C.P. storm drain including catch basins, R.C.B.
transitions, manholes and junction structures1 construction of sewer
siphon and encasement1 construction of sewer manhole1 sheeting,
shoring and bracing, traffic control: construction of water line
improvements 1 relocation of water lines1 and all appurtenant work
as shown on the plans and delineated in the specifications on file
in the office of the City Engineer, Account Nos. 13-793-6325-E3230
& 51-606-6329-25610-34320.

AND WHEREA,S, the City Council instructed the
~l1hlic Works Daga5~men~ to prepare detailed designs, plans,
prof les, drawings ~ specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the construc-
tion of said public improvement; and

WHEREAS, said Publ~c Works Department has prepared
said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifica-
tions for the construction of said public improvement and has
submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
pUblic improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and
residents in said area for the purposes for which they are
intended, and that they are adequate for the construction of
said public improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREWORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles~
drawings and specifications for said pUblic improvement herein-
above mentioned and described be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopted as prepared by said Public Works
DapartmeRt
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as prepared by said

a en a or mod ca ons thereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby authorized and directed to
publish a notice acoording to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, dra'..:in;:s
and specifications as prepared by said Public Works

men~Yoned and described, and t'ixing the 5th day of February ,
19~ at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for
the opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said notice shal1 be
published twice, the first of which publications shall be at
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction, installa-
tion and completion of said public improvement hereinabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans and
