RESOLUTION NO. 80R-64
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTA-
TION IN CONNECTION WITH THE IMPROVEMENT OF
STATE ROUTE 250 (STATE COLLEGE BOULEVARD) AND
SUBSEQUENT RELINQUISHMENT THEREOF TO THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM
(DISTRICT AGREEMENT NO. 3543)
WHEREAS, Section 372 of the Streets and Highways Code
provides that State Route 250 (State College Boulevard) from
Route 5 near Orange County Hospital northerly to Route 91 shall
cease to be a State highway when: (I) the Route 57 Freeway
between the Route 5 Freeway and the Route 91 Freeway is
completed; and (2) the surface of State Route 250 has been
placed in a state of good repair; and
WHEREAS, the Route 57 Freeway between the Route 5
Freeway and the Route 91 Freeway has been completed; and
WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Trans-
portation (hereinafter "State") and the City of Anaheim (here-
inafter "City") concur that the work necessary to place the
surface of State Route 250 between Orangewood Avenue and the
Route 91 Freeway in City in a state of good repair includes
the placement of an asphaltic concrete overlay on the roadway
between Ball Road and Route 91 (Riverside Freeway), the cold
planing (adjacent to the gutter and join lines) of the
asphaltic concrete overlay area, the repair of failed concrete
curb, gutter and the repair of failed sections of pavement;
said work to hereinafter be referred to as State's Project;
and
WHEREAS, City has a drainage project to extend and
upgrade a portion of its storm drain system, said project to
hereinafter be referred to as City's project: and
WHEREAS, City's Project includes the construction
of major storm drain facilities in State Route 250 between
Sycamore Street and Romneya Drive; and
WHEREAS, portions of State's Project would conflict
with or be superseded by City's Project; and
WHEREAS, State is willing to contribute to City, and
City is willing to accept from State, the sum of Forty Thousand,
Two Hundred Fifty dollars ($40,250.00), which is the estimated
adjustment of compensation for the deletion of that portion of
state's Project between Sycamore Street and Romneya Drive; and

WHEREAS, a Cooperative Agreement has been prepared,
the terms and conditions of which are satisfactory to the City
of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of a
Cooperative Agreement with the State of California Department
of Transportation in connection with the improvement and
subsequent relinquishment of State Route 250 (State College
Boulevard) be, and the same are hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said Cooperative
Agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 19 day of
February, 1980.
