RESOLUTION NO. 80R-89
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF CERTAIN PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
elected to proceed pursuant to the provisions of the Public
Services Easements Vacation Law (Section 50430 et seq. Government
Code) in connection with the vacation and abandonment of public
service easements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did, by resolution duly posted
and published, give notice of its intention to abandon the follow-
ing described public service easements (hereinafter "Easements").
to wit:
Those certain public utility easements located in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, described in deeds recorded in Book
3234, page 392, Book 3284, page 512 and Book 2086,
page 493, respectively, of Official Records, to be
abandoned described as follows:
Legal Description:
Book 3234, page 392:
A strip of land 10 feet in width lying within that
portion of the Rancho Canon de Santa Ana which was
conveyed to the Grantors herein by deed recorded
April 11, 1945 in Book 1305, page 145 of Official
Records of Orange County; the centerline of said
strip is described as follows:
Beginning at an existing Southern California Edison
Company pole *864153 E, located in that certain
easement to the Grantee herein, recorded as Document
*48873 in Book 2086, page 493 of said Official
Records; said pole being 1060 feet Southerly along
said easement from the Southerly line of the Atchison,
Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad Company's Right of Way,
as now established, thence West 150 feet.
In the event the electric line covered by this ease-
ment is removed, then the Grantee will 'Quit Claim'
the rights herein granted.

(1) The North 6 feet of the West 50 feet
577.72 feet of Lot 4 as shown on Licensed
Map filed in Book 2 of Record of Surveys,

(2) Also a 10-foot strip of land in said Lot 4, the
centerline of which is described as follows: Beginning
at the Northwest corner of said East 577.72 feet of
Lot 4, thence Southerly in a direct line 380 feet to a
point which is 210 feet Southerly measured at right
angles from the North line of said Lot 4;
It is understood and agreed that the above line de-
scription is approximate only, it being the intention
of the Grantor, by this conveyance, to grant an ease-
ment for said electric line in the location in which
said electric line shall be constructed on and over
the above described property.

That certain parcel of land in the Rancho Canon De
Santa Ana, which was conveyed to the Grantors herein by
deed recorded 4-11-45 in Book 1305 Official Records,
page 145, records of said Orange County.
All poles shall be erected and maintained within one
foot of the following described line:
Beginning at a point in the Southerly line of the
Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad Company's Right of
Way, as now established along the Northerly side of
said property of the Grantors, which point is 100 feet
Westerly measured at right angles from the Easterly
line of said property of the Grantors; thence Southerly
parallel with said Easterly line 1420 feet; thence
Westerly at right angles with said Easterly line 300
feet; and
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of March, 1980, a public hearing
was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed abandonment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find from the evidence submitted to it, that said Easements are
unnecessary for present or prospective public use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation and abandonment
of said Easements.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy
of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of
the City of Anaheim to be recorded in the Office of the County Re-
corder of Orange County, California.
