80R-128 RESOLUTION NO. 80 R-.LL8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DESIGNATING FRANK J. MADDEN, JR. EMERGENCY SERVICES COORDINATOR, AS PRINCIPAL DESIGNEE AND CAPTAIN WILLIAI~ J. FRANKLIN, POLICE SERVICES COMMANDER, AS ALTERNATE DESIGNEE, TO APPLY FOR CERTAIN FEDERAL FINAN- CIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER THE DISASTER RELIEF ACT. WHEREAS, recent wind and rain storms have caused extensive damage throughout major portions of the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, because of said major and extensive damage, the City of Anaheim has become eligible for certain Federal financial assistance; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to designate an agent for the purpose of applying for said Federal financial assistance; and WHEREAS, it is further necessary that Anaheim's agents be authorized to provide assistance and administration necessary for such Federal disaster assistance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Frank J. Madden, Jr., be Emergency Services Coordinator and designated the principal designee and Captain William J. Franklin, Police Services Commander, the alternate designee, and they are hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, this application and to file it in the appropriate State office for the purpose of obtaining certain Federal financial assistance under the Disaster Relief Act (?ublic Law 288, 93rd Congress) or otherwise available from the President's Disaster Relief Fund. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim, a public entity establshed under the laws of the State of California, hereby authorizes its agents to provide to the State and to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), all matters pertaining to such Federal Disaster Assistance, the assurances printed on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 1st day of April, 1980.
