RESOLUTION NO. 80R- 160
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE
COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXA-
TION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS FRONTERA NO. 3 ~NNEXATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to annex
into its boundaries certain unincorporated and uninhabited
territory as hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said City desires to extend the full
range of municipal services to said territory in order to
better serve the needs of said property, its owners and
inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, said City desires this resolution to be
deemed a resolution of application proposing a change of
organization pursuant to Sections 35140 and 35110 of the
Government Code of the State of California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. That the within proposal is made pursuant to
the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 as set forth in
Title 4, Division 2, Part 2 of the Government Code of the
State of California.
2. That the nature of the proposed change of
organization is for the annexation of the hereinafter
described 8.96 acres of unincorporated and uninhabited
territory to the City of Anaheim.
3. That said unincorporated and uninhabited
territory be, and the same is hereby, designated as "Frontera
No.3 Annexation to the City of Anaheim," and the boundaries
of said affected territory are legally described as follows:
That certain parcel of land located in the County
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing City
limit line of the City of Anaheim, said point of
beginning being the southeast corner of the
Frontera No. 2 ~nnexation to said City; thence
following along the easterly and northerly annexa-
tion boundary lines of said annexation, the follow-
ing courses and distances: N 260 011 02" W, 247.85

feet; thence S 700 501 29" W, 152.68 feet to the
beginning of a curve concave northerly and having a
radius of 375.00 feet, a radial line bearing S 190
091 31" E passes through said point of beginning of
curve; thence Southwesterly, Westerly and Northwest-
erly along said curve through a central angle of 440
001 00" an arc distance of 287.98 feet; thence N
650 091 3l" W to the northwest corner of said annex-
ation boundary line, said northwest corner also being
a point in the easterly boundary line of the City of
Anaheim as established by the La Palma-Rio Vista
Annexation to the City of Anaheim; thence leaving said
Frontera No. 2 ~nnexation boundary line and fOllowing
along a portion of the easterly line of said La Palma-
Rio Vista Annexation N 70 191 33" W, 390.l1 feet to
the most northeasterly corner of said La Palma-Rio
Vista Annexation, said northeast corner being a point
in the southerly line of the La Palma-Kraemer Annexa-
tion to said City; thence leaving said La Palma-Rio
Vista Annexation boundary line and following a portion
of said La Palma-Kraemer Annexation boundary line N
740 011 46" E, l55.24 feet; thence N 160 551 10" W,
l42.00 feet to an intersection with the northerly right
of way line of the Riverside Freeway per VII ORA-175-B,
as shown on State Right of Way Map No. F-1837 on file
in the office of the County Surveyor of said County as
File No. 9459, said point of intersection being a point
in the existing Anaheim City limit line as established
by the Northeast Annexation No. 2-A to the City of
~naheim; thence leaving said La Palma-Kraemer Annexa-
tion boundary line and following a portion of said
Northeast No. 2-A Annexation boundary line also being
a portion of the northerly right of way line of said
Riverside Freeway, the following courses and distances:
thence N 730 481 30" E, l,471.00 feet to an intersection
with the northerly prolongation of the easterly right
of way line of Newkirk Road; thence S 200 281 10" W,
768.14 feet; thence S 730 041 00" W, 40.00 feet to the
beginning of a curve concave southeasterly and having
a radius of 12,325.70 feet, a radial line bearing N
210 371 09" E passes through said point of beginning
of curve: thence leaving said Northeast Annexation 2-A
Annexation boundary line in a southwesterly direction
along said curve through a central angle of 50 101 02"
an arc distance of l,lll.58 feet to an intersection
with the easterly right of way line of Glassell Street
(Formerly known as Dowling Street), a radial line
bearing N 260 471 ll" W passes through said point of
intersection: thence S 630 581 58" W, 50.00 feet
to the true point of beginning.

A map showing the aforesaid boundaries and designated "Frontera
No.3 Annexation to the City of Anaheim," is submitted concur-
rently with and accompanies this Resolution.

That the reasons for the proposed change of
are as follows:
a. Requests by the owners of said
unincorporated territory for annexation to
the City of ~naheirn; and
b. To provide full municipal services
to an unincorporated area that is remote from
County service facilities and thereby increase
the economy and efficiency of urban services.
5. That the City of Anaheim is hereby designated
as the chief petitioner with regard to this application and
the mailing address of said petitioner is as follows:

6. That the City of Anaheim does hereby request
that annexation proceedings be taken and commenced for a
change of organization in connection with the hereinabove
described unincorporated territory pursuant to the provisions
of said Municipal Organization Act of 1977.
