HESOLUTION NO. 80R- 161
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE
COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXA-
TION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS RED GUM - CORONADO NO. 8
ANNEXAT ION.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to annex
into its boundaries certain unincorporated and uninhabited
territory as hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, said City desires to extend the full
range of municipal services to said territory in order to
better serve the needs of said property, its owners and
inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, said City desires this resolution to be
deemed a resolution of application proposing a change of
organization pursuant to Sections 35140 and 35110 of the
Government Code of the State of California.
l'JOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. That the within proposal is made pursuant to
the Municipal Organization Act of 1977 as set forth in
Title 4, Division 2, Part 2 of the Government Code of the
State of California.
2. That the nature of the proposed change of
organization is for the annexation of the hereinafter
described 18.7300 acres of unincorporated and uninhabited
territory to the City of Anaheim.
3. That said unincorporated and uninhabited
territory be, and the same is hereby, designated as "Red Gum-
Coronado No.8 Annexation to the City of Anaheim," and the
boundaries of said affected territory are legally described
as follows:
That certain parcel of land located in the County
of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Beginnin9 at the northwest corner of the Red Gurn-
Coronado l'Jo. 7 Annexation to the City of Anaheim,
said northwest corner for the purpose of this
description being the northwest corner of Lot 72
in the Eucalyptus Forest Tract, as shown on a map
recorded in Book 4, pages 66 and 67, Miscellaneous

~aps, records of Orange County; thence following
along the west annexation boundary line of said
annexation and the southerly prolongation thereof
S 160 17' 00" E, 668.00 feet to an intersection
with a line parallel with and 20 feet southerly of
the centerline of Coronado Street, said point of
intersection being a point in the north line of the
Red Gum-Coronado Annexation to the City of Anaheim;
thence leaving said Red Gum-Coronado No. 7 Annexa-
tion boundary line and following along the north
line and the west line of said Red Gum-Coronado
Annexation boundary line S 730 43' 00" W, 264.00
feet; thence S 160 17' 00" E, 310.00 feet to the
southwest corner thereof, said southwest corner
being the southwest corner of Lot 127 in said
Eucalyptus Forest Tract, said corner being a point
in the La palma-Milaloma Annexation boundary line
to said City of Anaheim; thence S 730 43' 00" W,
132.00 feet leaving said Red Gum-Coronado Annexation
boundary line and following along a portion of said
La palma-Miraloma Annexation boundary line being the
south line of Lot 126 of said Eucalyptus Forest Tract
to the southeast corner of Lot 125 of said Eucalyptus
Forest Tract, said southeast corner being a point
in the southeast corner of the Red Gum-Coronado
~nnexation No. 2 boundary line to the City of
Anaheim; thence leaving said La palma-Miraloma
Annexation boundary line and following along the
east and north line of said Red Gum-Coronado
Annexation No.2 boundary line N 160 17' 00" W,
310.00 feet; thence S 730 43' 00" W, 244.00 feet
to the northwest corner of said annexation, said
northwest corner being a point in the aforementioned
La Palma-Miraloma Annexation boundary line, said
point being the northwest corner of Lot 124 in said
Eucalyptus Forest Tract; thence leaving said Red
Gum-Coronado Annexation No. 2 boundary line and
following along a portion of said La palma-Miraloma
Annexation boundary line N 160 17' 00" W, 40.00
feet to the southwest corner of Lot 86 of said
Eucalyptus Forest Tract: thence S 730 43' 00" W,
284.00 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 89 in
said Eucalyptus Forest Tract: thence leaving said
La palma-Miraloma Annexation boundary line N 160
17' 00" W, 310.00 feet along the east line of said
Lot No. 89 to the northeast corner thereof; thence
S 730 43' 00" W, 132.00 feet along the north line of
said Lot 89 to the northwest corner thereof, said
northwest corner being a point in the northeast
corner of the Red Gum-Coronado Annexation No. 5 to
the City of Anaheim; thence following along the north
line of the last mentioned annexation boundary S 730
43' 00" W, 132.00 feet to the northwest corner of
said annexation boundary, said northwest corner also

being the northeast corner of the Red Gum-Coronado
Annexation No. 3 to the City of Anaheim; thence leav-
ing said Red Gum-Coronado Annexation No.5 boundary
line and following along the north line of said Red
Gum-Coronado Annexation No.3 boundary line S 730 43'
00" W, 132.00 feet to the northwest corner thereof,
said northwest corner being in the northwest corner
of Lot 91 in said Eucalyptus Forest Tract; thence S
160 17' 00" E, 310.00 feet to an intersection with a
line parallel with and 20.00 feet northerly of the
centerline of Coronado Street, said point of intersec-
tion being a point in the aforementioned La palma-
Miraloma Annexation boundary line; thence leaving
said Red Gum-Coronado Annexation No.3 boundary line
and following along a portion of said La Palma-Mira-
loma Annexation boundary line also being a portion of
the last mentioned parallel line S 730 43' 00" W,
132.00 feet to the intersection with the west line of
Lot 92 in said Eucalyptus forest Tract; thence leav-
ing said La Palma-Miraloma Annexation boundary line
N l60 17' 00" W, 310.00 feet to the northwest corner
of said Lot 92; thence N 730 43' 00" E, 132.00 feet
to the northeast corner of said Lot 92, said north-
east corner also being the southwest corner of Lot
62 in said Eucalyptus Forest Tract; thence N 160 17'
GO" W, 310.00 feet to an intersection with a line
parallel with and 20.00 feet southerly of the center-
line of La Cresta Avenue, formerly known as Orange
Street, said point of intersection being a point in
the southerly line of the Orange-Red Gum Annexation
boundary line to the City of Anaheim; thence N 730 431
00" E, 680.00 feet along a portion of said southerly
line also being said parallel line to the southeast
corner of said Orange-Red Gum Annexation boundary line,
said southeast corner being a point in a line parallel
with and 20.00 feet easterly of the centerline of Red
gum Street~ thence N 160 17' 00" W, 20.00 feet along a
portion of the easterly annexation boundary line of
said Orange-Red Gum Annexation, also being the last
mentioned parallel line to an intersection with a line
parallel with and 20.00 feet southerly of the south
line of Lot 24 of said Eucalyptus Forest Tract, said
~arallel line also being a portion of the former
centerline of Orange Street now abandoned by the Orange
County Board of Supervisors recorded January 23, 1948
in Book 1613, page 340, of Deeds, records of Orange
County, said parallel line also being a point in the
aforementioned La palma-Miraloma Annexation; thence
leaving said Orange-Red Gum Annexation boundary line
and following along a portion of said La Palma-Miraloma
Annexation boundary line, also being said parallel line
and centerline of said abandoned Orange Street N 730
431 00" E, 640.00 feet to the point of beginning.

A map showing the aforesaid boundaries and designated "Red
Gum-Coronado No. 8 ~nnexation to the City of Anaheim," is
submitted concurrently with and accompanies this Resolution.
4. That the reasons for the proposed change of
organization are as follows:
a. Requests by the owners of said
unincorporated territory for annexation to
the City of Anaheim; and
b. To provide full municipal services
to an unincorporated area that is remote from
County service facilities and thereby increase
the economy and efficiency of urban services.
5. That the City of Anaheim is hereby designated
as the chief petitioner with regard to this application and
the mailing address of said petitioner is as follows:

6. That the City of Anaheim does hereby request
that annexation proceedings be taken and commenced for a
change of organization in connection with the hereinabove
described unincorporated territory pursuant to the provisions
of said Municipal Organization Act of 1977.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 15th day of
April, 1980.
