RESOLUTION NO. 80R- 174
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 64R-662
REGARDING THE GRANTING OF WAIVERS OF HEIGHT
IN THE "COMMERC IAL-RECREATION" AREA IN AND
AROUND "DISNEYLAND."
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
heretofore adopted Resolution No. 64R-662 on September 8,
1964, establishing a policy regarding the granting of waivers
of height limitations in the "Commercial-Recreation" area in
and around "Disneyland;" and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 64R-662 did adopt
"Exhibit No. 5 as prepared and presented by the 'Disneyland'
Engineering Staff" (also known and referred to as "Map 1124,
entitled 'Anaheim Commercial Recreation Area Height Standard
Guideline''') as a guide in determining the liklihood that
certain height waivers in excess of the 75 foot limitation
would cause an adverse effect upon the adjoining land uses and
the growth and development of the Commercial-Recreation area;
and
WHEREAS, the purpose of said Map 1124 was to establish
height limitation contours which, if exceeded by any structure,
would make said structure visible from within the "Disneyland"
park and which visibility would have a detrimental effect upon
the attraction of "Disneyland" and, consequentially, upon the
City of Anaheim in general as expressly set forth in said
Resolution No. 64R-662; and
WHEREAS, due to development which has occurred with-
1n the "Disneyland" park since the adoption of said Map 1124,
certain revisions and modifications need to be made to the
height limitation contours as set forth on said ~ap 1124 which
would modify the structural height limitation in certain por-
tions of the Commercial Recreation area while still assuring
that said structures would not be visible from within the
"Disneyland" park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 64R-662 be, and the
same is hereby, amended by the revision, modification and
amendment of Exhibit No. 5 thereof to read as set forth on Map
1124, entitled "Anaheim Commercial Recreation Area Height
Standard Guideline" as revised and dated "April 1980."

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as herein
expressly amended, Resolution No. 64R-662 shall remain in full
force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 22nd day of April,
1980.
