RESOLUTION NO. 86R-376
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING AN EASEMENT FOR ELECTRICAL
UTILITY PURPOSES LOCATED SOUTH OF CRESCENT
DRIVE WEST OF CHRISALTA WAY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 19th day of August, 1986, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that
electrical utility easement, more specifically described as
follows:
That portion of the easement granted to Southern
California Edison Company by deed recorded May 12,
1954 in Book 2726, page 592 of Official Records, and
acquired by the City of Anaheim through condemnation
procedures, contained within the following described
parcel of land:
That portion of Lot 10 of Tract No. 1005, in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as
shown on a Map recorded in Book 33, page 32 of
Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County,
described as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of
Crescent Drive, as shown on said map of Tract No.
1005, with the northwesterly extension of the
easterly line of said Lot 10; thence S 280 18' 10" E,
105.26 feet to a point; thence S 100 54' 20" E,
102.70 feet to a point; thence S 150 58' 40" W, 85.68
feet to a point; thence S 80 28' 10" E, 134.95 feet
to a point; thence S 580 39' 20" W, 68.93 feet to the
True Point of Beginning; thence continuing S 580 39'
20" W, 151. 07 feet to the southeasterly corner of the
land described in deed to William G. Van Arsda1e and
wife, recorded September 12, 1963 in Book 6713, page
913 of Official Records; thence along the easterly
line of said land of Van Arsda1e the following
courses and distances: N 170 04' 39" W, 309.74 feet;
thence N 370 12' 30" W, 20.00 feet to a point in said
centerline of Crescent Drive; thence Northerly along
said Centerline, being the arc of a curve concave
northwesterly having a radius of 1000.00 feet, to the
northeasterly terminus of said curve; thence S 440
54' 00" E, 20.00 feet; thence S 200 48' 27" E, 328.78
feet to the True Point of Beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the northwesterly 20 feet.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 19th day of August, 1986.
