RESOLUTION NO. 86R-426
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 4TH DAY OF
SEPTEMBER, 1986, FOR THE ANAHEIM CONVENTION
CENTER BOX OFFICE ADDITION IN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation,
published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to wit: The
Anaheim Bulletin, on the 31st day of July and the 7th day of
August, 1986, a notice inviting sealed proposals for furnishing
the following:
All plant, labor, services, materials and equipment,
and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete in a good and workmanlike
manner, in strict accordance with the specifications,
plans and drawings therefor on file in the Office of
the City Engineer or City Clerk of the City of Anaheim,
the following public improvement, to wit:
The Anaheim Convention Center box office addition in
the City of Anaheim consisting of constructing a box
office addition on the east side of the Anaheim Room.
The work includes cast in place concrete walls and
roof, 6" P.C.C. sidewalk, laminated counter tops and
all appurtenant work as shown on the plans and
delineated in the specifications on file in the office
of the City Engineer, Account No. 24-964-7107,
in accordance with the design, plans, profiles and specifications
of said public improvement on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the bids received for this project were higher
than the estimate and the funds available; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is in the best
interests of the City of Anaheim to reject all bids received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour of 2:00 P.M.
on September 4, 1986, and reviewed by the City Engineer for the
Anaheim Convention Center Box Office addition, Account No.
24-964-7107 be, and the same are hereby, rejected and that said
job be reevaluated for future advertising.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 30th day of Septembe~
1986.
