A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE
APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR
DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of
California have approved a grant program for the Downtown
Community Center; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation
has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of
the grant program, including setting up necessary procedures; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State
Department of Parks and Recreation require the City Council to
'""" certify by resolution the approval of the City's application for
the grant funds before submission of said applications to the
state; and
WHEREAS, the application contains assurances with which
the City must comply; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim will enter into an
agreement with the State of California for the grant funds for
the Downtown Community Center;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim:
1. approves the filing of an application for various
special appropriations assistance for the Downtown Community
Center;
2. certifies that the City understands the assurances
and certification in the application form;
3. certifies that the City has or will have
sufficient funds to operate and maintain the Downtown
Community Center;
4. certifies that the City has reviewed and
understands the General Provision contained in the
State/local agreement shown in the Procedural Guide; and
5. appoints the City Manager as agent to conduct all
negotiations, execute and submit all documents including,
but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments,
payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the
completion of the aforementioned project(s).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 12th day of
January , 19_9 .
