RESOLUTION NO. 69R- 394
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT GRANT DEED
CONVEYING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FOR AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD AND PUBLIC
UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property
for municipal purposes, to wit: An easement for road and public
utility purposes;and
WHEREAS, the owner of said property has offered to
sell and convey the same to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of
Anaheim to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the offer of MOHAWK DATA SCIENCES CORP.,
to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described real
property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, to be used for an easement for road and
public utility purposes, and more particularly described as
follows:
An easement for road and public utility purposes and
for the construction and maintenance of slope areas
over, under and across that portion of the South one-
half of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter
of Section 23, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in
the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, as shown on
a Map recorded in Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of said County, described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the said North-
east quarter, said point being the centerline inter-
section of Cerritos Avenue and Lewis Street; thence
along the West line of said Northeast quarter, North
00 15' 29" West, 120.00 feet to the True Point of
Beginning of the herein described parcel; thence North
890 44' 31" East 45.00 feet; thence North 40 19' 0611
East, 451.18 feet to a point in the Southwesterly line
of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company's
right of way (100 feet wide); thence Northwesterly
along said Southwesterly line to an intersection with
said West line of the Northeast quarter of said Sec-
tion 23; thence along said West line South 00 15' 29"
East, 596.83 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
EXCEPTING therefrom the Westerly 45 feet included
within Lewis Street.
Grantor also grants to the City of Anaheim any and
all access rights appurtenant to grantor's remaining
property to and from Lewis Street over and across that
portion of the course described above as having a
bearing of North 40 19' 06" East lying North of a line
parallel with and distant North 292 feet (measured at
right angles) from the South line of said Northeast
quarter.

be, and the same is hereby, accepted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a convey-
ance of said property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance of
the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the
owner or owners of said real property, out of General Funds of
the City of Anaheim, the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 1st day of July, 1969.
