RESOLUTION NO. 68R-491
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A PEill1IT FROM OillU~GE COUNTY
WATER DISTRICT GRANTING TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
THE RIGHT TO USE THE CRILL BASIN AS A RECREA-
TIONAL FACILITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF SAID PEmUT.
~~iEREAS, the Orange County Water District, herein-
after referred to as District, has tendered to the City of
Anaheim a permit, dated August 15, 1968, granting to the
City the right and privilege to use the following described
property for public recreational facilities under the condi-
tions and terms as set forth in said permit:
All real property owned by the Orange County
Water District located in Lot 1, Block K of
e1e Kraemer Tract of Orange County, California,
commonly known as the Crill Basin.
EXCEP'I'ING THEREFRON that portion thereof con-
tained within the fenced area in the south-
westerly corner of said property which is
being used for District purposes.
AND vlliEIlliAS, said property is owned by District
for the purpose of replenishing the ground water supplies
available to the lands within the exterior boundaries of
District, which saiQ property during the term of said permit
is or may be necessary in carrying out said purpose or other
purposes of District; and
WHEREAS, District has issued permits and hereafter
from time to time may issue additional permits for the removal
of sand and other material from said property in order to
improve the said property for the aforesaid purposes of District;
and
'.iTEER:':::AS, it appears that said property may be used
for puLlic recreational facilities at the same time it is
being used by District for the purpose of replenishing the
gTound water supplies available to the lands within the exterior
boundaries of District and the other purposes of District
and while District is engaged in the removal of sand, gravel,
sil t and other materials t.hererroICl for tree purpose or improving
the land for the purposes of "the District, and
l~lLffi~AS, the joint recreational use of said property
will be of general benefit to "the inhabitants of District;
and
~1J1iEIlliAS, the City maintains a park and recreation
service for the purpose of furnishing public recreational
facilities and desires to obtain a permit for the purpose
of utilizing said property for public recreational facilities;
and
";rJiEJ:BAS, the City Council finds that it \l7ould be
~n the oest interest of the City to accept said permit, and
that the I1ayor and City Clerk should. be authorized to execute
saiu document for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the permit dated August 15, 1968, tendered
to the City of Anaheim by Orange County vlater District, granting
to the City the right and privilege to use the property herein-
before described for public recreational facilities under the terms
and conditions therein set forth, be, and the sa~me is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTBBR RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said permit for and
on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 6th day of August, 1968.
