A RESOLUTION OF THE CI'IY COlil:~CIL OF THE CITY
OF Al'\iAHEIl"i APPROPRIA'l'ING CERTAIN FUNDS FOR
ADVERTISING Al~D PROlViOTION OF 'rHE CITY OF
j~~AHEIMi AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH THE
ANP..HEIi'l CHAIyillER OF CON1"lERCE FOR THE DOING
OF SAID ADVERTISING; AND PROVIDING FOR COM-
PENSATION TO THE CHA}ffiER OF CO~~ffiRCE FOR
SERVICES TO BE RENDERED TO THE CITY OF Al~AHEIM.
WHEREAS, tne Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, located
w1th1n the City of Anaheim, has special knowledge, experience
and facilities for promotion ana advertising work; and
WHEREAS, tne City Council finds that it would be for
tne Dest interest and welfare of the City of Anaheim and the
citizens thereof to appropriate funds for the promotion and
advertising of the City of Anaheim for the purpose of inducing
the immigration of industry, business ana persons to said City;

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that a great deal of
work is required to be done in the development and expansion
of industry and tnat the Chamber of Commerce of the City of
Anaheim is peculiarly fitted and equipped to perform such work
and render such services, and tnat it would be to the advantage
and best interest of "tile City of Anaheim to employ the Chamber
of Comraerce to renaer saiu services and to aid in the promotion,
advertising ana expansion of industry in the City of ffi1aheim.
NOi1, THLRLFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
tne City of Anaheirn that certain Slli~S of money to aid in the
promotion, advertising and expansion of the City of Anaheim be
appropriatea and set aside for the following purposes, and in
tne following amounts, to be expended during the period com-
mencing July 1, 1967 and ending June 30, 1968:
(1) For the printing ana distribution of maps,
pamphlets, brochures and other printed materials,
the collection and dissemination of factual data,
information and statistics concerning the City,
performance of public relations work on behalf of
the City, and production of publicity and adver-
tising in promotion of the City's economic growth
and conununity relations program, including not
more than two (2) floats to be entered in parades
in cities which reciprocate with floats in the
City's Halloween Parade, the total cost of both
of said two floats not to exceed
TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($ 2,000.00 ),

(2) For administration and office expenses
incurred in connection with Item (1) above,
for the performance of services in the develop-
ment and expansion of industry in the City,
and for other services requested by the City,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Anaheim Chamber of
Commerce be, and it is hereby, employed for the following purposes
and to render the following services:
(I) Print and distribute maps, pamphlets, brochures
and other printed materials, collect and disseminate
factual data, information and statistics concerning
the City, perform public relations work on behalf of
the City, ana. produce publicity and advertising in
promotion of the City's economic growth and community
relations program, including not more than two (2)
floats to be enterea in parades in cities which
reciprocate with floats in the City's Halloween
Parade.
(2) Perform services to develop and expand industry
in the City and perform other services requested by
the City.
All services to be rendered shall be at the direc-
tion of the City of Anaheim, and all maps, pamphlets,
brochures and other printed material shall be sub-
mi tteo to and approved by tile Ci ty I.lanager of the
City of ill1aheim before printing or distribution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funds hereinabove
appropriated and set aside shall be paid out upon demands and
shall De supporteu by a statement of said Anaheim Chamber of
Commerce showing the amount of liability incurred as the basis
of saici claim. 'l'l1at saio ctemands shall be presented monthly to
the City Council. JUly expenses in addition to said amounts set
forth herein shall be paid by said Anaheim Chamber of Commerce.
PROVIDED, HffivEVER, tnat the above amounts set forth shall be
subject to revision and change upon written application of the
Cnamber of Commerce for a revision of said amounts and when
revision is authorizeQ by motion or resolution of the City, it
being understooct that t11e revision above referred to shall in no
way affect the total 11erein autnorizea.
AND DE IT FUR'rHER RESOLVED that the l'-iayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to enter
into a written agreement with the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce,
a copy of whicn agreement, to be made and entered into as of the
1st day of July, 1967, for the term July 1, 1967 to June 30, 1968,
both cates inclusive, ana from month to month thereafter until
terminated. by either party, has this day Deen submitted to the
City Council, anG whicn agreement is, by reference, made a part
hereof as fully as if set out in full herein.
