SPECIAL Due notice of a special meeting ef the City Planning
~IEE~INa Commiasioz to be held in the City Hall at 2:00 P.N., Maroh 27,
1944, wae received by all Commiasioners on March 23, 1944.
PRESENT Commiesionere Hilleary, Honey, Hapgood, Heying and
Schumacher were present.
QUORUM Chairman Hilleary called the m.ee~Cing to order at
2;15 P.M. and declared a qnorum present.
POST WAR The C2~airman introduced the aub~ect of post-war plan-
-"~' PLAN9 ning for the City and suggested that one oY the pro3eats should
be the e~imin~tion oY the preaent undesiriable use of land lying
' immediate•iy~ r.orth of LA Palma Park and the depreaiating ePfeat
~ sa'd area has upon the city as a whole. He said that the entlre
{ area aould be condemned under the Park and Playground Aat o~ ~gog
and, as the benefita would be more than local, the whole city
oould be put into ar. asseasment diatrict for the purpose.
It was suggested that the FHA might be ablg to oPfer
some help in relocatin~ the residents of the area.

tain blocks could be acquir~d by the City thraugh an aesessment
