MINUTES OF THE INFORMAL MEETING OP THH CITY PLANNII~ COMMISSION HELD ON
FRIDAY JUNE 15 1956 AT 2:00 0'CLOCK P. M.
The Meeting tvas called to order at 2:10 0'Clock P. M.
PRESENT: Consultant Eisner
City Adm3.nistrator Keith Murdoch .
Chairman Summers
Commissioners: Riutcel and Mungall.
Commissioner Auest entered the Meeting at 2;30 P. M.
Commissioner Gauer entered the Meeting at 2:55 P. M.
Commissioner Hapgood entered th~ Meeting at 3;08 P.i~1.
Commissioner Gauer le£f the Meeting at 4:15 P. M.
ABSENT: Commissioners: Schumacher and Thampson.
Consultant Eisner presented a proposal for consideration covering
Commercial Zones.
As per this iayout the Commercial Zones v:ould be broken down
into six categories consisting of the following:
C-1, Neighborhood Stores.
C-2, Neighborhood or Community Shopping Center.
C-3, General Commerciai District. This wouid be the Cen-
tral Business District.
C-3-A, General Commerciai District. This would be the
Regional Shopping Center and would have the same
uses, but with different requirements, as to park-
ing, set-backs, etc.
r-4, Highway Commercial District. This would be areas
lying along the main arteries of the City.
A-P, Administrative and Professional Office Distric:t.
A Ther~ugh discussion of the proposed uses in each of the
proposed zonea was carried on and at the next Meeting on
June 29, 1956, Mr. Eisner will present an ordinance that
can be adopted as an interim ordinance together with a
map showing the location of each of the proposed zones.
