Mr. C. C. Beverly, 14?3 Norman Street, stated tha`. the prcp~sed site
was too near the future City Park which is to be built on the corner
of Placentia Avenue and Vermont Street and that around any Yark, the
uses should be a11 residential. Others in the audience told that the
subdivider had stated when selling them their homes, that the area
w~uld all bz kept as residential. It is a quiet asee at present, but
with 8ie adveat of industry, it could become undesirable. Also that
peopie in the present tract were youx!g, with a great many chiidren.
Mr. N. J. Benke~ 909 Avocado, questioned as to what the next step
would be after this Hearing. It was explaia°d to him that the Conaeil,
on sny Reclassification, has to schedule a Pubiic Hearing of which
due notice would be given to the residents within a 300 foot radius

staied that his c2ieats had had several offers for the sale of their
property for Motei nse, but that when they appeared on the pxi.mises
aad sar the operation being conducted next door, 4hey called off their
offers to purchase the property. It is felt that the preaent owners
